6 YEARS OF MIGRAINE HEADACHES

For 6 years, I had migraine headaches excessively. I had to lessen my activities and change my entire routine. I had nausea, vomiting, lightheadedness, hair loss, and cold sensations on the back of the neck. I had sensitivity to light and sound, and my condition made me really sensitive all around. I would have to go home from work a lot and I couldn’t do my daily routines. I couldn’t go to family events, or do any kind of physical activity such as dance or exercise. I couldn’t go out with friends, and I had to take lots of medications. My condition also caused mood swings and irritability.

From 2000-2004, I went to doctors and to the emergency room and was prescribed many drug medications. I took prescription and over the counter drugs. I took Imitrex everyday, Ibuprophen (800mg), and several others. I went to the neurologist and had several CAT scans and MRIs. There were no results from modern medicine, and the prescribed medications actually put me back into the hospital. They were only temporary solutions to a permanent problem. In 2004, I gave up and I just stayed home and took aspirins. I thought that my illness was something that I would have to live with.

In September 2006, I came to the Natural Medicine Center because what I had tried before didn’t help, and I saw positive results watching my family come in. I didn’t know about natural medicine but I was at ease. I began treatments with acupuncture and taking herbal medicine.

4 weeks into the treatments, I started feeling better - from having 2-3 migraines a day to having none at all. I no longer have to carry the Advil and the migraines are gone from everyday life. It is such a blessing to be able to live life. I felt my body being balanced and the herbal teas helped cleanse my system on a daily basis. I no longer have to pre-plan things, and I am able to complete the activities at work.

My family and friends have been very supportive and they are excited that I am less dependent on the drug medications. I would refer others and tell them that there is no harm in trying. The staff is nice and polite and the clinic is very comfortable, relaxing and clean. I am 100% for the natural way. It is healthier and more beneficial with no side effects.
