“Within 3

In March 2004, I was diagnosed with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) after a “simple” carpal tunnel release surgery of my left hand. After the surgery, the carpal tunnel numbness was constant and worse, and the pain became excruciating. My fingers were swollen and the joints frozen. My surgeon wanted to do another, exploratory surgery, but I refused, fearing another RSD flare up.
I was on disability for a month, since I couldn’t work as a registered nurse and the pain medication made me so drowsy. I felt pretty useless and had become a one-handed person with constant pain who couldn’t even put on her own socks. I searched for a new job as I was told that the RSD would probably take a year to resolve and would probably need another carpal tunnel release surgery. Four stellate ganglion nerve blocks in my neck failed to relieve the symptoms and only brought major expense and complications. I was at a loss to find relief from Western medicine.
A friend of mine went on the internet and found the Natural Medicine Center. I went the day after my last stellate nerve block, in April of 2004. I was skeptical, but my friend had had good experiences with natural medicine, so I submitted to acupuncture and herbal therapy to relieve the pain and restore function in my left hand. Within 3 treatments, 70% of the pain was gone! I no longer felt useless as I could help myself more. Being patient isn’t one of my strong points, but over the last 4 months, the RSD pain has been relieved, the carpal tunnel symptoms are gone and my hand function has been restored to almost 100%.
My family and friends are delighted and grateful. My surgeon and RSD specialist are dumbfounded. Everyone has received the center’s card and I will never again seek western medicine’s help for anything but a dire emergency. The center’s staff is always friendly, professional and accommodating with an air of spirituality. I am very comfortable in the center, like a second home, and will refer all who ask, telling them of my experiences.
