In May of 2005, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I was devastated when I found out. The doctors did tests, ultrasound and CT scan, and the oncologist gave me chemotherapy. I went through 3 cycles of chemotherapy and I needed a hysterectomy, but my surgery was cancelled because I had fluid outside the abdominal wall and my tumor marker was up. I had very low energy because of the drug therapy. I was tired and my systems were getting weaker.
In December of 2005, I came to the Natural Medicine Center. The side effects of the chemotherapy made me want to try natural medicine. My family was very supportive of natural medicine, and both my daughter and son-in-law have had acupuncture before. I began treatments consisting of acupuncture, herbal medicine, and herbal tablets, and I attended classes.
I am very happy and pleased about the results. With in the first 2 weeks, I started feeling a lot better. The treatments made me feel stronger and I had peace of mind that I was getting better.
