Finally, by the end of September 2005, our good neighbor suggested that I should go to the Natural Medicine Center for a consultation. After an exam, Dr. Huang told me and my husband Tim, that my bladder infection was caused by my being post-menopausal, and the diarrhea and constipation were the side effects from all the antibiotics I took. Besides those side effects, the antibiotics also killed off all of my good bacteria, severely damaged my liver and my immune system and because of being post-menopausal, with an already weakened immune system, I developed Candida and was in the early stage of developing an auto-immune disease. Dr. Huang suggested I should have acupuncture and herbal tea treatments. We decided to give it a try because nothing else worked.

Because I was very weak, Tim prepared the herbal tea for me everyday, and he was with me every time I had the acupuncture treatments, he talked with Dr. Huang, asked questions and made notes. Dr. Huang suggested we change our diet and life style. We started drinking warm water, eating plenty of cooked vegetables every day. We added whole grains and fruit to our diet with some fish, and a little pork and beef but no chicken or dairy products. And we go to sleep no later than 10pm every night.

Because I have a very sensitive body I tended to have very strong reactions to the treatments, Dr. Huang takes it very carefully and slowly with both the acupuncture and the herbal tea. He said that he is not only trying to help me with the problems I have now, but also try to make the second half of my life better. The process was very slow and there were ups and downs, but Tim was there as my coach, very patient and supporting. Gradually, I did begin to feel better, the symptoms went away little by little and the thick coating on my tongue cleared up layer by layer. After almost 2 years, I finally have my energy back and I can go out about with my life again.

When I was getting better, Tim started taking herbal tea too, because of high blood pressure, a history of skin cancer, problems with gums, and he always felt hot even in the winter. After taking herbal tea for a while, Tim had good reports from his Dermatologist and Dentist, his blood pressure is getting back to normal and the heat doesn’t bother him much anymore.

The experience with the Natural Medicine Center was wonderful. The doctors are professional, the staff are caring, the office is clean, and they always have relaxing music in the treatment rooms. We are very happy we found this place to help us get our health back. We will recommend them to anyone.
