On August 30, 2011, I had a stroke. It happened during a procedure for an angiogram to put in two stents. A piece of plaque was chipped off which caused the stroke. Prior to this ordeal, I was very happy and healthy. As a result of the stroke, I was paralyzed on the right side and could not walk. My speech was impeded and I couldn’t use my right hand until physical therapy. I also received speech therapy and occupational therapy. Recovering from a stroke takes time, the 90 day window is very important. I sought all the help I could get during those 90 days.
I was referred to Agape Natural Health by my sister and friends. I was not sure but when my MD said it would not hurt, I felt comfortable coming here. My friends and family were happy and supportive and they felt it would be a positive experience. My first impression of the clinic was welcoming and professional. Everybody is wonderful – very warm and friendly.
My main focus was to get better. My treatments included acupuncture which was very easy to embrace and no pain.
