One of the deepest desires of my heart was to one day become a mother, it never really occurred to me that I would struggle to fulfill that desire. After trying to get pregnant for about a year, I went in to the doctor complaining of pelvic pain. A trans vaginal ultrasound was performed and that's when I saw them- clusters of cysts showed up on the screen and as the doctor was explaining to me that I had a condition called PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). I remember tears started welling up when she told me it may be a challenge to get pregnant and with some women, it can cause infertility altogether. I was put on medication and a couple months later, started gearing up to get on fertility medication. When I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), I was sad and knew it would be a difficult obstacle getting pregnant. My periods were irregular and I had weight gain. It was hard for me to loose weight due to the PCOS and a slower metabolism. My MD prescribed medications. There were a lot of side effects and the medication gave me an upset stomach and nausea. I was also stressed and tired. Because I was not able to conceive easily, I also had an IUI (Intrauterine Insemination). Neither of these treatments were successful prior to coming here.

When I first came for a consult with Dr. Huang, my husband and I had been praying and trying for a baby for two years. After a year of trying to conceive we consulted with a reproductive endocrinologist (RE) - who basically said I had a 1-2% chance of becoming pregnant naturally because I was 38 years old (at the time) and had not conceived up to that point. We had one IUI with the RE, which caused me to develop large cysts and postponed my regular menstrual cycle for several months. I began seeing a well known acupuncturist, who specialized in fertility at the same time as I began treatment with the RE. The IUI did not result in pregnancy; however, I did end up becoming pregnant naturally a few months later. I miscarried after 6 weeks. After that pregnancy, I had two more miscarriages within 6 months. I felt heartbroken and defeated but continued to have faith that God had a plan for us.
I began looking for other acupuncturists in the area because I did not feel the miscarriages were being addressed by the acupuncturist and treatment remained the some regardless of how many times I miscarried, I believe God lead me to the Agape Natural Health website and as soon as I read that Dr. Huang was a Christian and read his beliefs, I made an appointment for a consult. My husband and I have always believed that we would have a child but did not know what path God wanted us to take. We also looked into adoption but were not ready to take that step. Dr. Huang had a different approach to treatment for my fertility issues. He treated my whole body rather than simply focusing on my reproductive system and had us wait 3 months before trying to conceive again so my body could heal.
After months of acupuncture, herbs, and a special diet, we began trying to conceive again in January of 2011. After several months of trying, I became pregnant in May of 2011. I had a blood test to confirm my pregnancy and my HCG levels were the highest they had ever been. I continued with acupuncture throughout my pregnancy. I’m now 36 weeks pregnant and I have had a very smooth, healthy pregnancy. We are expecting our baby boy in January of 2012. Dr. Huang has been very supportive and generous throughout this process. What better day than today, Thanksgiving 2017, to thank Dr. Huang and his incredible staff for helping me get pregnant with my beautiful second daughter. 2015 was a tough year; not only did I have two miscarriages, but my reproductive endocrinologist told my husband and I that due to my high FSH levels and age, 43, I would never be able to conceive again. I left the doctor’s office feeling heartbroken, but something in me told me that this was not how this chapter in my life was to end. I still had hope and as they say, “when there is a will, there is a way”.

My husband and I had tried to have children for 5 years. We had gone through 6 artificial inseminations and one in vitro without success. In October 2008, I had a borderline Ovarian Tumor removed, along with my left ovary. In February 2009, I had another abdominal surgery done by a specialist to remove another cyst on my right ovary, a couple lymph nodes and get some pelvic samplings. Thankfully everything turned out ok. After the surgeries, my body still felt imbalanced and my energy was low. I would go in for check ups every 3 months, but I felt like the doctors were just waiting for it to come back. In the meantime, my husband and I decided to start a family. My name is M.L. and my husband and I have had fertility issues for many years. I have Endometriosis alongside some ovulation issues. I have had an Endometrioma in the past which ultimately led to having an ectopic pregnancy. This resulted in removal of my left fallopian tube.
We later resorted to IVF in hopes of getting pregnant once and for all. The first two attempts were fresh cycles but resulted in negative pregnancy tests. For my third attempt, we decided to try a Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET). I began going to Dr. Kevin Huang when we decided to try acupuncture after reading his testimonials in 2011.

I never thought that it would take us nearly four years to be able to conceive again after our first miscarriage back in 2012. We were truly heartbroken amidst the hardship and everything we went through. Not knowing that it would literally take us this long, I began to feel frustrated with little hope. Around 2013 and 2014, we then decided to seek professional help by going to 2 different infertility clinics. After two attempts of IUI, tons of medications and injections, we felt it was just time to step back and take a break. I was tired! In the summer of 2015, I began to research alternative methods. While searching online, I came across several websites that offered “infertility acupuncture treatments”. I was a bit skeptical at first, but I went ahead and inquired about the treatment costs, etc. I stumbled across Dr. Huang’s website. What really captured my interest to pursue this even further was that this particular clinic was faith-based. I was drawn by the fact that his practice/professional work is his ministry! So, fast forward to the month of August 2015, we made an appointment to consult with Dr. Huang. I couldn’t help my tears when I was explaining to him what I’ve been through and how tough it’s been just to conceive and the worst part is, not actually knowing why as I’ve been classified as, “unexplained infertility”.
We immediately began treatment that same day and he gave us a run down about what type of foods to avoid, and that it would take about 3 months to prepare my body to conceive. At first, I thought, “seriously?” But we know that all we can do is just trust Dr. Huang’s recommendations. He also prescribed me some natural herbs to help with my blood and liver functions. My husband and I were in a season of waiting for nearly four years! In the end, God came through and blessed us with a child through Dr. Huang’s ministry. I just wanted to start off by saying that I'm pretty careful about who I recommend and want to see results before I start recommending people to anyone. I was pretty skeptical about acupuncture in the beginning and wondered if it was actually effective for someone's health. I would often be skeptical about everything Dr. Huang said and wondered why he was so confident in whatever information he gave me about my health. However, everything that Dr. Huang said about my health came to pass, he kept his word, and didn't make any empty promises.
I first started coming to Dr. Huang in October of 2017. I had been suffering with desquamative inflammatory vaginitis or chronic vaginitis in general for 4 1/2 years. I kept getting misdiagnosed for the first 2 years with my medical doctor and the last 2 1/2 years, my OB helped with the symptoms, but never knew why I was still experiencing moderate symptoms. I was constantly prescribed with drugs or creams that never got to the root of the problem and stopped working. I researched my condition and symptoms from the beginning and couldn't find anything on the internet to help me. There was so little information about it and I felt like I had very little leads to help me with my issue. Finally, I was fed up and started looking at alternative options. I went to another acupuncturist before Dr. Huang, but she never solved any of my health issues.
