We are 4th generation in natural medicine. Our family has been serving patients in the United States since 1980 and helping patients in California for 30 years. The National Cancer Institute at the National Institute of Health website has a compilation of human clinical studies that shows that the effects of acupuncture on immune function were beneficial to enhance and help regulate immune functions of cancer patients. Further studies shows that acupuncture for cancer improved the quality of life for patients by decreasing side effects of chemotherapy, and helped to decrease the cancer-related pain. Studies also showed acupuncture helped post-operation surgical pain to decrease.
The National Cancer Institute studies also showed many convincing benefits with acupuncture for cancer related nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy. One study also showed that acupuncture can relieve radiation-induced nausea and vomiting. Another area of improvement from the studies was vasomotor symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats from postmenopausal women with breast cancer and prostate cancer patients. We are very please to see scientific studies that confirm the benefits of acupuncture cancer for supporting patients in their battle with cancer.
