On December 20, 2011, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer, and it spread to my lymphoid and bones. I was living a healthy life - never smoked, drank, or did drugs, so this was unexpected. My illness made me stressed out and tired, and I was unable to get good rest. I was in denial at first but then I began to put myself back together and look for a solution. I had coughing that never went away, couldn’t exercise, and would be out of breath easily. I went on a medical leave from work. It really put me down and I had less interaction socially. I had radiation for my bones, genetic testing and followed a nutrition doctor. I started chemotherapy February 2012 – August 2013, which left me fatigued, weak and my taste buds were bad.
In June, 2012, I started coming to Agape Acupuncture for treatments for my condition which included herbal medicine and acupuncture. I read a lot of books, started seeking information on acupuncture, and read the testimonials online. I hoped to go into remission and get my life back again. My family were very supportive – 100%. The office was so peaceful and relaxing and the staff was very friendly. They are very well organized, very clean and neat.
