2½ weeks after I started acupuncture, on a Sunday I felt my cheek move and everyday it’s getting better and better. I’m at 98%! It’s almost all good. My right eye is more open than the other eye but my mouth is like it was! I’m now the normal person I was before! In October 2013, I went to soccer practice and the next morning I woke up with Bell’s Palsy. I wasn’t working because of a bone fracture and when I started work again this happened. My life was different because I didn’t feel half of my face. I stopped doing sports. I never heard about something like this and it was terrible. I go to the doctor and he tells me it’s Bell’s Palsy. The doctor told me to protect the eye because I couldn’t close it. The doctor prescribed B12 Vitamins and Vital Supplements because they were thinking I had a virus. He said take the vitamins and I’ll see you next week. But I didn’t go a second time. I started taking the supplements and I stopped the same day because my friend told me about acupuncture.
I asked my friends what’s the best way to treat it and my wife’s friend said acupuncture and 6 days later I was here. November 7, 2013 I started coming to Agape Acupuncture. The website on the internet prompted me to come here. I checked the website and there were testimonials of others with Bell’s Palsy. I expected everything to be ok and 100%! I was a firm believer in natural medicine before coming here and my friends and family were supportive. My mom always takes natural medicine and that’s why I know it helps people. My mother, in Poland, had acupuncture a few times. I believed in natural medicine but didn’t have acupuncture before. This is my first time to have acupuncture, and I also took herbal medicine and followed a diet and nutrition guideline.
