In July 2021, at age 70, I underwent a liver CT scan at Saddleback Memorial Hospital. Unexpectedly, the scan also revealed a nodule in my lung. Although the image was unclear—since the scan wasn't intended for the lung—this fortunate accident led to the discovery of a potentially life-threatening issue.

A month later, in August, I had a dedicated lung CT scan, which showed an 11mm nodule on my lower left lung, roughly the size of a dime. I was deeply concerned it might lead to lung cancer. My doctor advised monitoring its growth over time.

By March 2022, seven months later, my second CT scan revealed that the nodule had grown slightly, from 11mm to 12mm. Although its slow growth suggested it was non-aggressive, I was determined to eliminate it. I chose not to immediately proceed with a follow-up CT-guided biopsy that was recommended by the doctor due to concerns about possible side effects from the procedure. Wanting to avoid chemotherapy, I turned to natural medicine and prayed for guidance to find the right doctor.

That answer came in the form of Dr. Huang at Agape Natural Health in Newport Beach. After researching doctors online, I felt drawn to Dr. Huang, who specializes in acupuncture and herbs. Patient testimonials spoke highly of his success, and I trusted my instincts to book an appointment in May 2022.

During our consultation, we discussed not only my lung nodule but also my broader health challenges. Initially, I had 16 other serious health issues (comorbidity) that I have suffered with and taking 9 prescription medications. Dr. Huang explained that my weakened body was likely the root cause of these conditions. I was instructed to undergo acupuncture sessions weekly plus herbal supplements he prescribed. He also encouraged regular exercise and guided me to a balanced diet.

By the halfway point of my acupuncture treatments, I noticed increased energy levels.

In August 2022, another CT scan at Saddleback Memorial Hospital revealed that the lung nodule had shrunk from 12mm to 8mm. I was so happy and joyful with this news. This significant reduction confirmed that Dr. Huang's treatment plan was effective.

After months of treatment at Agape Natural Health and seeing the reduction in the lung nodule, I felt at peace and comfortable to move forward with a CT-guided biopsy to further evaluate the lung nodule.

My February 2023 bloodwork showed normalized cholesterol and triglyceride levels, improved and stabilized blood sugar and blood pressure, and improved liver health. My bone density also remained stable.

Finally, on March 7, 2023, I was scheduled for a CT guided lung biopsy at Providence Mission Hospital. However, while preparing for the biopsy procedure, the doctor shared shocking and astonishing news: "there's no need for a biopsy. We found no nodule on your left lower lung." Overwhelmed with gratitude, I nearly cried out, "Praise God! This is a miracle!" My husband, waiting in the lobby, was equally stunned and thankful. It felt like a divine blessing, and I firmly believe that Dr. Huang's treatments played a crucial role in this outcome.

I am deeply grateful to have found Agape Natural Health. Dr. Huang is compassionate, sincere, and devoted to his patients' well-being. His staff is equally kind, respectful, and supportive, making every visit comfortable and reassuring.

I came to Agape acupuncture in April 2013 after years of suffering with a weak immune system and finally being told by my physician that my immune system was simply weakened and that there was really nothing they could do about it.  I have dealt with a weak immune system for most of my life, suffering from colds and sinus infections as far back as I can remember, but this time it was much more serious.  I had been sick for over 3 months and had lost approximately 30 lbs.  I had a trip planned to Rwanda scheduled for May 24, 2013, but could not receive the recommended immunizations needed because I was too sick and on antibiotics. Dr. Kevin brought me in and looked over my medical records and asked many questions. He determined that my physicians’ were correct, but in stark contrast to my current physicians he was sure I could be healed.  With great confidence he informed me that God was going to heal me and that I would be able to go on the trip to Rwanda.  He prayed for me, which gave me great confidence and I began a treatment which included diet changes, herbal medicine regime and acupuncture treatment.  Within two weeks I was already seeing improved health, and in a couple of months I was on my way to Rwanda.
