Since 2013, I experienced stomach pain below my right rib and I also suffered from depression. I was frustrated. After an ultrasound and CT scan, they didn’t find anything - only mild fatty liver. The medical doctors offered me only drugs and they recommended me to eat less acids and certain foods. But the pain was still there from July 2013 to June 2014.
On August 18, 2014, my bother Joel referred me to Dr. Kevin Huang at Agape Acupuncture, Inc. and my family were supportive and happy that I would try natural medicine. The clinic is clean and offers good service and left me with a good impression. Dr. Huang gave me acupuncture, herbal medicine and a basic food guide. I was a believer in natural medicine but haven’t tried it before. The treatments are very gentle and they explain very well how to take my medicine.

In June 2014 I experienced a solid week of severe anxiety. I took medication, which relieved it but I felt like I could easily become dependent on it. I began acupuncture with a different provider. After nearly three months I felt more downs than ups so as I decided to research acupuncture doctors in my area. I found Agape Acupuncture and Dr. Huang. I read the many testimonials and decided to go in for a consultation. From the moment I walked into the office I felt this sense of calmness and peace.
I began treatment with Dr. Huang in September. I immediately felt at peace. The fact that Dr. Huang is Christian has made the experience amazing. I felt a deep connection and belief in the treatment I received. Of course I’ve experienced a couple of setbacks.
At one of my sessions I shared with Dr. Huang that I was about to give up - I wanted to feel better now. I was ready to go to a doctor for anxiety medication - take the easy way out; I cried and he listened. He calmed me down, talked to me, and honest to God gave me advise that I will follow for the rest of my life. Talking with Dr. Huang, taking my prescribed herbs, and going to my acupuncture sessions have all helped me cope with the things that caused me anxiety in the past. I am true believer in natural medicine.
Recently I had a bad cold; I thought I’d take an over the counter medication; big mistake. I felt terrible the following morning with heart palpitations that always seemed to be the onset of an anxiety attack for me. The first thing I did was drink a strong cup of chamomile tea that morning and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Huang for a treatment. He prescribed me herbs and I honestly felt better the following morning. All thanks to natural medicine and acupuncture.
I am currently seeing Dr. Huang for acupuncture every other week and will begin seeing him every three weeks now and continue taking herbs. I could never have done this without Dr. Huang, his team of wonderful people, and God. I am a true believer in natural medicine and have learned to cope with anxiety with the wisdom, prayer and treatment of Dr. Huang and I can honestly say I have peace in my heart knowing that I made that right decision.
