Since last year I had been feeling some really weird and unexplained symptoms that I thought I was the only one on the planet who had this. I had gone to about 5 different doctors including a holistic nutritional response testing woman who was only able to put a name to my bizarre and painful symptoms, hyperthyroidism, and started to give me some natural supplements to help me naturally rid of this and allow my body to naturally heal itself. I totally believe that the body can naturally heal itself, hence the reason I chose a holistic person rather than go to a doctor and have him prescribe thyroid medication, but unless the holistic doctor knows really what they are doing, even natural supplements can be dangerous and have side effects. The natural supplements she was giving me were waking up my hyperthyroidism and I was having symptoms every third day compared to every third week, and the last day of my visit in her office, I had a minor seizure and decided to never go to her again.

My symptoms included: Heart rate at 160 beats per minute while lying down, overheating and sensitive to changing temperatures, sweating, very difficult to breath, pupils dilated, pale face, extreme dry mouth with no saliva at all, nauseous for the entirety of my episodes (which last from 18 hours to 48 hours of no sleep and all of these symptoms, I have to force myself to eat some cold and wet fruit or cereal with milk, otherwise nothing else is easily swallowed without choking) very dizzy and wanting to faint all the time, extreme body ache within an hour of episode starting, muscles tensing up from head to toes, grinding down on my jaws, nervousness, jumpiness, tremors to the point of my body vibrating if one were to hug me they would feel it, my teeth chattering from the tremors and not feeling cold, my body temperature dropping to about 93-94 degrees even if my skin is hot to the touch and I'm sweating profusely, extremely high and overly exaggerated libido to the point of it not being able to arrive to the point of satisfaction... for up to 7 hours of painful swelling to my genital area if I don't do something about it, and nothing I do will bring it there because it's so swollen it's numb, which is a very frustrating and painful thing to have to go through for 18-48 hours. When I would come down from an episode, I would have a hard time breathing as the goiter would swell in my throat and I could barely breathe. My lungs felt exhausted and they would barely expand to allow me to breathe.  After going to 5 doctors, urgent care, etc., doing blood work, urine testing, ECG. and nothing coming up on the tests, always normal. So imagine my frustrations, that no doctor I've seen has any idea of what is wrong with me.

I was on the brink of going to an endocrinologist, even after the doctors gave me a thyroid blood panel test and said it was normal, I was desperate after a holistic person almost killed me. I went online after returning home from my seizure in her office and started to pray to God, begging him to help me get better and help me find someone qualified to help me, this was on a Saturday. I googled many times and up popped up Natural Medicine OC. I read as many testimonials that my energy would allow me to, because I was now coming down from my episode and usually slept for 2 days, and I started to cry and told my husband that I was going there.  This was my answer, this was going to save my life.  He saw it was in OC and made mention that it was an hour drive, and I said to him, "I am willing to drive across the world if it means I will never have this again."  He agreed and handed me my phone to make the call (even making a call was a huge task for me). When I did, the clinic was already closed, so I left a message and on Monday they returned my call and scheduled me for my free consultation. On my first appointment, my husband had to almost carry me in the clinic as I could barely walk or breathe and I was in tears. I talked to Dr. Huang with uncontrollable tears, as he and his entire staff were and are very compassionate and kind. After my free consultation and a 20 minute acupuncture session, I walked out of his office smiling, feeling great and literally skipping to my car towards my husband and my dogs. My husband's jaw dropped to the ground.

It has been almost 60 days, and I have only gotten one 18 hour episode, and that was a day before my scheduled period, 3 and a half weeks after my first appointment which Dr. Huang warned me might happen because my hormones were accumulating and would be the strongest around my period, but he did say that after 12 weeks of treatment, 3 times a week, it would not happen anymore, and if it did it would be very mild, and eventually go away. I have been taking the natural supplements given by Dr. Huang and going to therapy religiously 2-3 times a week and eating organic and I feel great. My energy is back, and my moods are getting much better. Thank you God and Dr. Huang and staff for saving my life. Dr. Huang is an Angel sent from God to do his work and help all of us who believe and have faith that God is out there, you just have to believe and ask.

It all started in March 2012, when I was at work and noticed I was feeling a bit dizzy. I had no idea what it was. I’m a person that has a proper diet and live a productive healthy lifestyle. As I sit in my break room just thinking about the last thing I ate that made me feel dizzy and thought, that couldn’t of been it. My dad had picked me up from work as I couldn’t function anymore. As I get to my house I couldn’t stop vomiting and was feeling miserable with a painful headache. I fell asleep and woke up 3 hours later and it was gone. I had no idea what it could have been but I continued my day normally as I do every other day. Then about a month later on April I felt the same exact feeling as I did the month before. My dad had to pick me up from work and had to go home again. As I continue to live a productive healthy lifestyle I wouldn’t get it again for another 2 months and got it a few times in July and several times in August, September and October. I was feeling miserable and thought it was an early sign that maybe my life was coming to an end. I went ahead to do my own research as to why I was getting dizzy a lot. I was googling all of my symptoms and it was due to an inner ear problem.

I went to Mexico in September to get further treatment. I went to see an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) doctor and saw that I had some sort of rupture in my ear due to some injury that I had as a child. He then sent me to an audio specialist to do a few testings on my ear. After 2 hours were tested I got the results and went back to my ENT doctor and as he reads the results he sees that I have been diagnose with Meniere’s disease. This disease includes recurring episodes of vertigo, hearing loss, ringing in the ear (tinnitus), fullness in the ear, and nausea. My doctor also told me to have a very restricted diet as to not have any high amounts of salt, sugar, artificial sweeteners, alcohol and caffeine. He said by eliminating or reducing these foods I may reduce my symptoms. The doctor then prescribed me few medications. As I take the medication I felt a like it was going away slowly and maybe lasted about 2 weeks as all of my symptoms came back. I did not know what to do anymore as I thought I had done everything possible to cure my disease. As I spoke with other people via online with Meniere’s disease they had told me that it’s a disease that I would have to live with for the rest of my life and to know what foods I’m eating as to what could been triggering me to get vertigo. After having a restricted diet I was still getting the symptoms and at this point was lost and didn’t know what to do anymore.

Then my sister who works at Natural Medicine Acupuncture and herbs told the doctor about my symptoms. The doctor wanted to see me and have a consultation and talk to him about my symptoms. He then said he can help me with a positive tone and not to worry because he’s had patients in the past with Meniere’s disease and was able to help them before and could help me if I follow a simple program. He wanted to see me 3 times a week for an acupuncture visit and to take the herbs he provides everyday 2 times a day. So I decided to take the program which at this point I was desperate for anything to cure my disease. On November 2, 2012 was my first day of the program. After week I felt like it was going away slowly. On the 2nd week everything was going fine and I felt like my symptoms where going away slowly. Then in December my symptoms came back. Every time my symptoms would come back it would last about 12 hours. The doctor then told me not to worry as I should keep taking my herbs every day and keep eating healthy. My symptoms disappear and came back on January and got them several times and the doctor told me to not worry as he would be doing his best to cure me. I kept fighting and I knew if I keep following with the treatment I know it would disappear soon.

It was just a matter of time. Then in February my symptoms hadn’t come back and I kept fighting everyday to avoid the vertigo from coming back. It is now July and my symptoms have not returned. The doctor has done everything he can to help my disease. He was very positive he can help me and was not going to give up until it was gone. It has been more than 5 months since my last vertigo and I continue each day to fight and live a healthier life. With the power of God and Dr. Huang anything can be done.
