On August 7th, 2018, I was diagnosed with vertigo. For ten days, I felt so dizzy that it made me feel sick. The dizziness made it difficult for me to eat; it caused me to vomit. It was severe that I had to go to the emergency room. The doctor did an MRI scan and referred me to see an optometrist and sent me away with medication for my symptom. When I went to the eye doctor, they checked my vision and prescribed me with glasses because my vision was blurry. But wearing glasses did not help with the symptoms I was experiencing. So I went to my family doctor, and they examined my ears and diagnosed me with vertigo. My family doctor told me that there is no cure for vertigo and the best they could do for me was prescribed some medication alleviate my symptoms. I took the medication as directed; every six hours or when I felt sick but the medication did not help.

Vertigo affected my life in every aspect. I was not able to do anything at home and work. Vertigo changed my sight the most that I couldn't perform regular tasks. It made it difficult for me to concentrate because I was constantly dizzy and unbalanced that I had a difficult time walking. I felt tired and nausea, it made me vomit, it blurred my vision, and I had no balance. 

I always wanted to try acupuncture because I believed in a natural way to treat your health. My wife was supportive of my decision to try acupuncture since she noticed that drug medicine wasn't helping me. I searched on the internet for the nearest acupuncture clinic near me. I came across Agape Natural Health of Orange County and made an appointment to see Dr. Huang in seeking to get better because there was nothing modern medicine has to offer to help with my vertigo. 

On August 18th, 2018, during my first visit to the clinic, I noticed there were a lot of people getting treatments, and the office was clean. I met with Dr. Huang, and he recommended that I do a combination of acupuncture, herbal medicine, and change my nutrition and diet. I proceeded with the acupuncture treatment right away because I wanted to get better. Within two weeks of acupuncture treatments, taking herbal supplements for my liver and lungs, and changing my diet, I was feeling better. My vision and balance got better without getting dizzy. 

Coming into Agape Natural Health, all I wanted was to feel better. After following Dr. Huang instruction with acupuncture, taking herbal medicine, and taking care of my diet, I no longer have vertigo. When I was a child, I fractured my skull and had a blood clot. It was terrible. I went to the Emergency Room (ER) and had MRI and CT Scan - the MD didn’t have a cure. As a result, I started to have dizziness, vertigo, headaches, room spinning and vomiting. When I was 20 years old I had Vertigo for one week. After 50 years the Vertigo has come back. Now that I am 70 years old, the Vertigo came for 3 weeks but very strong. 30 years ago I also started taking medicine for High Blood Pressure (HBP). Sometimes my head was very hot and I was sweating. During the day for a few hours, I couldn’t do anything and I just wanted to sleep. I also couldn’t exercise. With the Vertigo and HBP, I couldn’t stand up from the bed for 4 days because I was dizzy and I had headache from HBP. When I tried to find medicine for the Vertigo the doctors never offer anything but exercise for my head. They taught me how to move my head and neck. They gave me medicine for HBP and recommendations for how to relax for my head so the Vertigo don’t come back. I was taking Atenolol 50 mg for High Blood Pressure and the side effects were constipation. I still take medicine for High Blood Pressure but less dosage. The treatments the doctors recommended weren’t healing the Vertigo but it was less and made me more relaxed.

The first time I came here was September 21, 2013. A Chiropractor who use to come here referred me. I hoped to get healing from the Vertigo. My family was supportive and they had faith for my healing. The clinic is very clean and in order. I never tried Acupuncture but in Mexico, they always try to heal people with the herbs. In July, 2011 I experienced an earache and the next morning woke up with vertigo, which I had never known before.  The symptoms were severe and quite debilitating.  While lying in bed, it often felt as if I were falling about 30 feet.  When sitting, it only took a slight movement of my eyes to set off the sensation of spinning wildly. I had difficulty walking unless I could keep my hand on a wall and driving a car was out of the question.  About all I could do safely was to sit on the couch or sleep, but even while sleeping I would be awakened by the sensation of falling.

I went immediately to my medical doctor, who diagnosed my condition as a viral ear infection.  She prescribed some motion sickness medication, but I wasn’t feeling seasick and the medicine made me feel awful so I only took it for a few days.  There was no other prescription that could have an effect on the viral infection, so I suffered for several weeks I missed several days at my job, and was only able to work by pretty much staying at my desk or walking for short distances along a wall.

Finally I decided to try acupuncture and was blessed to find Dr. Huang and the Natural Medicine Center.  After a consultation, he said he thought he could provide at least some relief if I would commit to 10 or 12 treatments. At the end of the fourth treatment, I experienced noticeable relief!  And the vertigo was basically gone after the ninth or tenth treatment!  I completed the 12 treatments and was able to return to my normal activities without symptoms at all.

In March, 2012, I had another earache and again awakened with vertigo, although the symptoms were not nearly as severe as before. I went immediately to Dr. Huang and, after only a few treatments, the vertigo symptoms were again completely gone. I am now taking regular treatments for other conditions with complete confidence that they will improve. I highly recommend the Natural Medicine Center and their fabulous staff!

It all started in March 2012, when I was at work and noticed I was feeling a bit dizzy. I had no idea what it was. I’m a person that has a proper diet and live a productive healthy lifestyle. As I sit in my break room just thinking about the last thing I ate that made me feel dizzy and thought, that couldn’t of been it. My dad had picked me up from work as I couldn’t function anymore. As I get to my house I couldn’t stop vomiting and was feeling miserable with a painful headache. I fell asleep and woke up 3 hours later and it was gone. I had no idea what it could have been but I continued my day normally as I do every other day. Then about a month later on April I felt the same exact feeling as I did the month before. My dad had to pick me up from work and had to go home again. As I continue to live a productive healthy lifestyle I wouldn’t get it again for another 2 months and got it a few times in July and several times in August, September and October. I was feeling miserable and thought it was an early sign that maybe my life was coming to an end. I went ahead to do my own research as to why I was getting dizzy a lot. I was googling all of my symptoms and it was due to an inner ear problem.

I went to Mexico in September to get further treatment. I went to see an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) doctor and saw that I had some sort of rupture in my ear due to some injury that I had as a child. He then sent me to an audio specialist to do a few testings on my ear. After 2 hours were tested I got the results and went back to my ENT doctor and as he reads the results he sees that I have been diagnose with Meniere’s disease. This disease includes recurring episodes of vertigo, hearing loss, ringing in the ear (tinnitus), fullness in the ear, and nausea. My doctor also told me to have a very restricted diet as to not have any high amounts of salt, sugar, artificial sweeteners, alcohol and caffeine. He said by eliminating or reducing these foods I may reduce my symptoms. The doctor then prescribed me few medications. As I take the medication I felt a like it was going away slowly and maybe lasted about 2 weeks as all of my symptoms came back. I did not know what to do anymore as I thought I had done everything possible to cure my disease. As I spoke with other people via online with Meniere’s disease they had told me that it’s a disease that I would have to live with for the rest of my life and to know what foods I’m eating as to what could been triggering me to get vertigo. After having a restricted diet I was still getting the symptoms and at this point was lost and didn’t know what to do anymore.

Then my sister who works at Natural Medicine Acupuncture and herbs told the doctor about my symptoms. The doctor wanted to see me and have a consultation and talk to him about my symptoms. He then said he can help me with a positive tone and not to worry because he’s had patients in the past with Meniere’s disease and was able to help them before and could help me if I follow a simple program. He wanted to see me 3 times a week for an acupuncture visit and to take the herbs he provides everyday 2 times a day. So I decided to take the program which at this point I was desperate for anything to cure my disease. On November 2, 2012 was my first day of the program. After week I felt like it was going away slowly. On the 2nd week everything was going fine and I felt like my symptoms where going away slowly. Then in December my symptoms came back. Every time my symptoms would come back it would last about 12 hours. The doctor then told me not to worry as I should keep taking my herbs every day and keep eating healthy. My symptoms disappear and came back on January and got them several times and the doctor told me to not worry as he would be doing his best to cure me. I kept fighting and I knew if I keep following with the treatment I know it would disappear soon.

It was just a matter of time. Then in February my symptoms hadn’t come back and I kept fighting everyday to avoid the vertigo from coming back. It is now July and my symptoms have not returned. Since October 2014, I suffered from sciatic nerve pain and back pain from lower back degeneration. Work was hard in heavy construction and my condition was getting worse. It started with sciatic pain to my bottom, then to the leg and calves. It traveled to the ankles and foot and 3 toes went numb. I laid in bed for one week and it wasn’t getting better. I felt worthless - just laid in bed. I couldn’t do anything, and wasn’t even hungry or thirsty. I couldn’t get up from bed. It was hard to go to the bathroom. I went to the doctor, chiropractor and had massage therapy. I took pain pills and steroids. None worked.

I have always been a strong hard worker but this condition, it made me think a lot because I was not able to do the things I did before. The pain was really bad and I felt drugged with all these pills and the pain didn’t go away. Nothing they did for me worked. I didn’t want surgery, and that’s all they offered me - pain killers, steroids and surgery - so I came here to see Dr. Huang in February 12, 2015 for acupuncture.

I was just looking for other solutions before surgery. Being I never had acupuncture before, I was just hoping I’d get better. The very 1st session helped me a lot. I went home to sleep. The needles don’t hurt, it was very relaxing and sometimes I would fall asleep. After the 8th session I was 80-90% better. Everyday was a good percentage of recovery. I am healed and Agape Acupuncture gave me great results with acupuncture and herbs.

The acupuncture treatments make you feel good and everyone that sees me sees that I’m better. My family and friends are happy to see me feel better and relieved that I stopped suffering. They are very curious about acupuncture. I even lost weight and it makes you feel good when you look better. If I had surgery it would have taken longer for the recuperation.

From November 2014 to Mid-May 2015, I suffered from Vertigo. Symptoms were dizziness, nausea, frequent headaches, and spinning sensation which prevented me from working a few times. I am a security guard and need to be on my feet and alert. The vertigo hampered that because I couldn’t work while spinning. I consulted our family physician and they gave me a ear hearing test which came out normal, then they sent me to a head and neck specialist at Kaiser. I have been suffering with Tinnitus for approximately 13 years. I had ringing in my ears so working in an office and concentrating would sometimes be very distracting. Many times, it was hard to hear a Bible study at church. The ringing would be very loud. In a crowded restaurant, it would be very hard to hear a conversation. I thought, “this is going to be very difficult to deal with on a daily basis”. I sought the help from an Ear, Nose and Throat Doctor and there was no treatment.
