For at least 45 years I have had Migraines and headaches but I was not diagnosed until my early thirties. I was glad it wasn’t something worst. My Neurologist said it’s possible to have a Migraine gene. I have been on Migraine medicine for years and I go to work with them. Sometimes I would have to call out ill and go straight to bed. I could not really function – they limited me from my daily activities. I was frustrated and discouraged after all the years and treatments from other doctors and I still had migraines. I had Chiropractor for a month and it did not really help me. I also got massages. It did not take the Migraines away, but it would relax me. My Neurologist just gave me more medications. I was taking Imitrix 50 mg - the side effects were shortness of breath and chest tightness. I have been treated with medications ongoing for 45 years. I still take Imitrix on occasion as needed, but the side effects of dizziness and nausea cautioned me to take it only when necessary.

I came to Natural Medicine Center on November 26, 2011. My husband encouraged me but I was apprehensive. I hoped to lessen my Migraines and feel better because I was always tired. I have used acupuncture before so I felt very comfortable when I came in. I received acupuncture and herbs. The acupuncture does not hurt; it’s very relaxing.  If I had a Migraine when I came in it would go away. Within 1-3 months, there was incredible improvement. The migraines have decreased. It has improved everything I am able to function and do my daily activities. I lost about 12 lbs, my energy increased and I feel more relaxed. They are not all gone but I know it’s a work in progress and the pain is mild compared to before. The staff at Natural Medicine Center is very pleasant and welcoming. They make me feel like I am the only one here. Dr. Huang’s bedside manner is very warm and caring. He is positive and determined to make you feel better. Dr. Huang was encouraging and everyone is very nice.

I feel amazed and excited about the results. I did not know what was going to happen but I had hope. My friends and family could see a change in my energy and my weight loss. I would refer people I know who have Migraines and other health issues. I’m a firm believer in acupuncture and like the outcome of the treatment. I would encourage others who are unsure to come in and talk to Dr. Huang and get their opinion. Based on my own personal experience, the treatments have benefited me. Words can not express my gratitude to the Staff and Dr. Huang for being pleasant and showing concern for me as an individual.

“I first came to the Natural Medicine Center in June 2004. I have a condition called Ankylosing Spondylitus, which is a very severe form of Arthritis. I was diagnosed when I was eight, and had never had any real success controlling the pain until I came here. I had never tried acupuncture but I was so desperate I was willing to try anything. There was noticeable relief about three weeks into the treatments, and with a change in diet (to vegetarian, on recommendation by Dr. Huang) following through with the acupuncture treatments, and taking of the herbal supplements, I’ve had virtually no problems since. “I’ve come to Natural Medicine Center (NMC) over the years for my wife when she’s gone through a few different medical issues (mainly endometriosis, hypothyroidism) and when my cholesterol levels were crazy (over 400), I came in. Dr. Kevin was very sympathetic and prescribed a plan of action for me. I had acupuncture and started drinking an herbal tea that his staff puts together for me (they give me packets of raw herbs and I soak it and boil it at home). My cholesterol has come down to normal levels now (basically cut in half), WITHOUT ANY DRUGS, WITHOUT ANY SIDE EFFECTS.

My primary care physician was amazed. I recommend Dr. Kevin and the Natural Medicine Center without reservation. This place is as good as it gets!

The treatments are basically painless and the wait usually is not long, if you have an appointment.

By the way, their “Lung Health” tablets are the best decongestant I’ve ever used. They work fast and when I have a bit of a cold, they help me breath like normal.
