At 42 years old, I found myself basking in the extraordinary joy of pregnancy and the miracle of motherhood!  My path to this remarkable moment was a tumultuous one, marked by years of battling infertility and grappling with a persistently low egg count and poor egg quality due to my age. Despite enduring two IVF egg retrieval attempts that only yielded disappointment, my journey was a rollercoaster of emotions, from disbelief and heartbreak to even making significant career sacrifices.

As I faced these challenges, I also had to confront fibroids, leading to a myomectomy at the age of 38. This unexpected twist cast a long shadow over my aspirations of becoming a mother, magnifying the obstacles in my path. The weight of my condition manifested as debilitating menstruation issues, iron deficiencies, and agonizing cramps.

Further studies shows that acupuncture for cancer improved the quality of life for patients by decreasing side effects of chemotherapy, and helped to decrease the cancer-related pain. Studies also showed acupuncture helped post-operation surgical pain to decrease.

The National Cancer Institute studies also showed many convincing benefits with acupuncture for cancer related nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy. One study also showed that acupuncture can relieve radiation-induced nausea and vomiting. Another area of improvement from the studies was vasomotor symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats from postmenopausal women with breast cancer and prostate cancer patients
