MALT LYMPHOMA (MUCOSA-ASSOCIATED LYMPHOID TISSUE LYMPHOMA) | GERD (GASTRO-ESOPHAGEAL REFLUX DISEASE) WITH PAIN AND BURNING IN THE STOMACH | “Healing through collaboration of natural medicine and modern medicine.”

For many years, I suffered from GERD (Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease) with pain and burning in the stomach. Coffee and tea would hurt my stomach. In June 2011, I was diagnosed with MALT Lymphoma (Mucosa-Associated Lymphoid Tissues Lymphoma). I could not believe it but I had to do everything I could, I am a RN (Registered Nurse) and I was still working, but this affected my work psychologically. I had to watch what I ate and I used diet supplements. My MD prescribed antibiotic treatment for H. Pylori for two weeks. I also used homeopathic remedies. In September 2011, I had an ultrasound and was recommended to have chemotherapy but I refused. After the prescribed treatments, there were some improvements shown through Endoscopy but the pathology was the same.

When you are diagnosed with something like this and trying everything, you are desperate. I began to research natural medicine, found the Natural Medicine Center on the internet and I tried it. On July 9, 2011, I began treatments of acupuncture, herbal medicine and nutrition. My expectation was to heal myself and to continue and follow-up with the Endoscopy to see progress. I did have some belief in natural medicine but I was not a firm believer. It has an alternative medical tradition. In about 2–3 months, I began to feel better! The last time I had biopsy results, it showed no MALT Lymphoma. I also had an increase in energy. I am excited, happy and relieved with my results!

My husband has been very supportive and is very happy. He wants to spread the word because my outcome was so good! I believe in natural medicine now. It’s hard to say I was expecting these results because I wasn’t sure. Before I wasn’t expecting 100%, but I did put a lot of hope into it and I feel I was rewarded. Natural Medicine Center has a wonderful staff and they are very friendly. The medical staff is supportive and encouraging. I would absolutely refer everyone! In 1993, the American Cancer Society predicted that about 33% of Americans would eventually develop some form of cancer. In the early 1990’s, nearly six million new cancer cases and more than four million deaths from cancer were being reported worldwide each year, according to Time Magazine, fall 1996 issue. In the United States during the early 1990’s, more than one-fifth of all deaths was caused by cancer. The National Cancer Institute studies also showed many convincing benefits with acupuncture for cancer related nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy. One study also showed that acupuncture can relieve radiation-induced nausea and vomiting. Another area of improvement from the studies was vasomotor symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats from postmenopausal women with breast cancer and prostate cancer patients
