I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) 2 years ago and I have been struggling with acne and hormone problems for years. I had depression, fatigue, hair loss and my cycle was 19 days instead of 28 days. I had loss of sleep, weight loss, high testosterone (androgen) and an ovarian cyst burst. I was on antibiotics, bio-identical hormones, different natural remedies. I was prescribed hormone replacement, but it did not work for me. I also tried acne topical medications and a testosterone blocker. I was on birth control for 6 years. Afterwards, my body was out of whack. I had a little hope in the acne clearing up but I was discouraged about the PCOS. The acne was due to PCOS and it got worst when I got off the birth control. I was lethargic and stayed away from friends and events. At work, I was always tired and I also lost work due to ovarian cyst bursting. I was in and out of the hospital. I was completely exhausted in trying to end the acne, PMS and hormonal issues – nothing really helped me, except diet and exercise.

I remember tears started welling up when she told me it may be a challenge to get pregnant and with some women, it can cause infertility altogether. Realizing I might not get to experience one of the most fulfilling experiences in life, I felt crushed and hopeless. I was put on Metformin and a couple months later, started gearing up to get on fertility medication (Clomid). After reading how these drugs tamper with hormones and the variable success rates/side effects, I decided I wanted to try a more natural approach first. When I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), I was sad and knew it would be a difficult obstacle getting pregnant. My periods were irregular and I had weight gain. It was hard for me to loose weight due to the PCOS and a slower metabolism. My MD prescribed Clomid and Metformin. There were a lot of side effects and the Metformin gave me an upset stomach and nausea. I was also stressed and tired. Because I was not able to conceive easily, I also had an IUI (Intrauterine Insemination). Neither of these treatments were successful prior to coming here.
Two of mine friends came to the Agape Natural Health and they had positive results so they recommended me.
