When I first saw Dr. Kevin Huang, my prognosis was dim. I was diagnosed with colon cancer that had spread to my liver and a rare gastrointestinal stromal tumor. I had undergone surgery for the colon cancer and was put on a type of chemo that made me sick. I lost a lot of weight and was extremely anxious and depressed. I had never been treated with acupuncture before and was hesitant to add yet another treatment to my protocol, but I was desperate to find help.
Dr. Huang immediately reassured me that “Aculove” was painless and effective. My surgeon told me that I probably had a year if I did not do anything. I wanted to try a more holistic approach instead of just relying on traditional medicine and chemo. Dr. Huang’s methodology helped me to remain calm, sleep better, and gain weight while also lowering my CEA (cancer markers). As a result, I was able to survive two more major surgeries and two additional chemotherapies. Even when I was recuperating from surgery, Dr. Huang kept in touch with me. Now that my scans reflect the good news that there is no evidence of cancer, I have returned to Dr. Huang’s care so that I can remain cancer free. Additionally, Dr. Huang helped to reduce the inflammation that caused my liver markers to remain high following surgery. I trust Dr. Huang and know that he has my best interests at heart.
In addition to being a critical part of my cancer recovery team, Dr. Huang decreased the extreme pain caused by my TMJ so that I was able to chew and enjoy food once again.

At 42 years old, I found myself basking in the extraordinary joy of pregnancy and the miracle of motherhood! For many years, I suffered from GERD (Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease) with pain and burning in the stomach. Coffee and tea would hurt my stomach. In June 2011, I was diagnosed with MALT Lymphoma (Mucosa-Associated Lymphoid Tissues Lymphoma). I could not believe it but I had to do everything I could, I am a RN (Registered Nurse) and I was still working, but this affected my work psychologically. I had to watch what I ate and I used diet supplements. My MD prescribed antibiotic treatment for H. Pylori for two weeks. I also used homeopathic remedies. In September 2011, I had an ultrasound and was recommended to have chemotherapy but I refused. After the prescribed treatments, there were some improvements shown through Endoscopy but the pathology was the same.
When you are diagnosed with something like this and trying everything, you are desperate. I began to research natural medicine, found the Natural Medicine Center on the internet and I tried it. On July 9, 2011, I began treatments of acupuncture, herbal medicine and nutrition. My expectation was to heal myself and to continue and follow-up with the Endoscopy to see progress.
