CLINICAL EXPERIENCE | STAGE 4 CANCEROUS BRAIN TUMOR | FREE FROM CANCER | God’s Providence and His use of Acupuncture via Dr. Huang to Prompt Healing

On May 3, 2011 I was diagnosed with a Stage 4 cancerous brain tumor. This was totally unexpected for I never had headaches or symptoms that would have led me to believe something was amiss until the last few weeks of April 2011. At that time I was having an equilibrium problem as well as headaches. I was living up north in Walnut Creek, CA with my wife but had been having follow up appointments at UCI Medical Center for a previous bout with sinus cancer in 2002. That surgery was done at UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco but because of a job transfer to Southern CA my follow up was done at UCI. I was in Tustin visiting family when I saw my ENT at UCI and told him of my symptoms he suggested a CT scan, which I had, and it revealed the tumor. I was back in Walnut Creek when the results of the scan were made known to me.

On May 3rd my wife and I rushed down to UCI and I was admitted and after more testing it was determined that it was Stage 4 Cancer. The surgical removal of the tumor took place on May 5th. In God’s providence the timing of all this and the success of the surgery was a blessing from
Him to say the least. The Doctors at UCI were puzzled trying to determine where these tumors had come from. The pathology reports from the tumor indicated it was the same type as colon cancer. I was sent to the Oncology Doctor to begin an aggressive Chemotherapy treatment. Pet scans reveled five tumors, four in my lungs and one near my liver. The chemo really began to wreck havoc on my body not only from the residual effects of the treatment but because of the previous sinus cancer surgery and radiation in 2002 another problem arose. The scar tissue in my mouth which hadn’t given me a problem for years was affected and the mouth / jaw began to swell and close up. I couldn’t speak or eat without pain and I was losing weight at an alarming rate.

Thus enter Dr. Huang. A friend of my daughters had told her of the amazing results she experienced at NMC and my daughter suggested maybe acupuncture might help. I was desperate and had been asking the Lord to give me guidance as to what I should do. I wanted to be in the center of His will and knew He could heal me outright or use Doctors and medicine to accomplish His will for me. In His providence He led me to meet with Dr. Huang and I was so impressed with his professionalism and that of his staff that I knew God had led me to NMC. So what happened? Through acupuncture, the care of Dr, Huang and his staff, the herbs and teas I took and a special cancer preventative diet here is what transpired:

• I was able, through acupuncture, to weather the onslaught of the chemo with better than expected recovery between chemo infusions and the acupuncture kicked my immune system into gear.
• My mouth began to heal and I was, in a matter of months, able to speak clearly and eat without pain.
• With the combination of excellent medical care at UCI and the care from Dr. Huang and his staff I am now, on March 5, 2012, free from cancer and on a fast recovery
track.

I thank the Lord each day for the gift He has given to Dr. Huang to use acupuncture to bring additional healing to me according to God’s will.

When I first came to the Natural Medicine Center, I wasn’t even thinking cancer. I came because I had a lump in my salivary gland. But God working through Dr. Huang convinced me to go see a medical doctor for a proper diagnosis, before he would treat me. It was then that I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Tonsil Cancer in October 2010. I went into shock; I was overwhelmed with fear – not knowing what to do next. I had a mass on my neck the size of a golf ball. I had to stop working, no social life and I had sores in my mouth, tongue and throat.  

The ENT gave me 2 choices: chemo/radiation or surgery. To surgically remove the tumor he would have to dig out the cancer followed by reconstructive surgeries and tubes for drainage. The ENT wanted to try chemo/radiation first. I underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatments together with natural medicine. I began acupuncture and herbs at Natural Medicine Center from December 2010 to March 2011. I hoped that the natural medicine would strengthen me to get through the modern medicine chemo/radiation and restore me back to health. The three types of treatments worked together. My Oncologist prescribed me morphine that I was supposed to take 2 every 4 hours but I did not want to be a zombie, so I took only 2 a day. I believe acupuncture helped with that. I had a g-tube so I could not eat solid foods. I also had a biopsy surgery to make sure the cancer didn’t spread. It was hard, it wiped me out physically but I had to trust God through it all.

It was a long journey and feeling better did not start right away because I was doing chemotherapy and radiation at the same time. My friends and family were supportive but my husband was resistant about natural medicine until he spoke with Dr. Huang. I felt a peace and God’s presence here at this clinic. I was able to keep my strength up and I was told I would experience depression during the chemotherapy and radiation. But getting treatments here helped me with that. Because of the chemotherapy and radiation I was told I could lose at least 40 lbs but because of receiving acupuncture and herbs, I was able to maintain my weight and stay strong. I’m back to normal and I’m back at work. My friends and family are pleased and happy. God has blessed me with a lot of clients. I am very happy, ecstatic! On December 20, 2011, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer, and it spread to my lymphoid and bones. I was living a healthy life - never smoked, drank, or did drugs, so this was unexpected. God is good and in the business of healing, even in our modern times. In September of 2010 I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. I was told I needed surgery ASAP. Ten days later the surgeon removed one kidney. The doctor told me I was healed, however, in April 2011 a new CT scan revealed three new cancer spots, now on my pancreas. At this time I started to look into natural solutions.

The Lord led me to Agape Natural Health. I am convinced it is the work of the Lord. I live 55 miles away and we have many doctors who practice acupuncture in our area. When my wife and I met Dr. Huang and his office staff for the first time we were convinced that this was the place we needed to come for help.

I started in May of 2011 with acupuncture, herbs and Dr. Huang gave me advice on diet and exercise. My life has changed drastically. My food intake is entirely different from what it was before, including a much more fruit and vegetables and a much healthier lifestyle overall.

In July of 2011 a new CT scan revealed that the cancer spots had disappeared. This was also true for the next several CT scans. I am on medication from the regular doctor, however, the oncologist is surprised by the progress I am making. In our last visit she told me I was in complete remission and the side effects of the medicine are minimal.

I believe this would not have been the same without Dr. Huang and his staff of dedicated people. One of the great things of this office is that Dr. Huang prays with his patients. I look forward to that moment every time I come and gain strength and courage from the idea that a doctor cares enough to pray and be personally involved in my life.

The acupuncture cancer patient found Agape Acupuncture and although the clinic was almost 60 miles from their home, they felt that they should come visit the clinic. The patient came to the clinic and started acupuncture. Dr. Kevin Huang offered the acupuncture cancer patient dietary and exercise guidelines to help the patient live a healthier life. FROM STAGE 4 COLON CANCER TO NO CANCER | The walking miracle!

“To this day March, 2014, I AM CANCER FREE AND I AM A WALKING MIRACLE!”

On August 6, 2012 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. I was in shock and disbelief. I was not feeling myself for a long time. My husband died of cancer 14 years ago. All I could think of was what we went through and I thought “I can’t go through it again.” I thought about my family; especially my daughter. All we have is each other. I decided to fight. I went to the doctor and blood tests were done. They found out I was severely anemic, my hemoglobin was at a 5, and I was bleeding internally; which explained my lack of energy and motivation. Then they sent me to a Hematologist and he ordered more blood work, X-Rays, and a Ultrasound. Finally he ordered a CAT Scan. It revealed a huge mass on the left side against my abdomen cavity. The cancer had perforated the colon and began to grow and you could see it on the doctors face that they were like, “Wow! What are we dealing with here?” Right away they told me I would have to have transfusions.

He decided to keep me in the hospital overnight. This all happened in one afternoon; I had to call my daughter to let her know I was being admitted. She was in tears and shock, we never saw it coming. I will never forget the look on her face and what she said to me, “We are going to fight it and we are going to beat it!” I had a Colonoscopy 2 days later and discovered it was Stage 4 Colon Cancer. It affected every part of my life. I was not myself at all. I was depressed. All I wanted to do or could do was sleep. I had been feeling this way for a very long time - 5 years. I had no desire to do anything. I started bleeding internally and that’s when they found the cancer. I just was so exhausted. I would wake and I was already tired. I was just tired, tired, tired.

My daughter spread the word for prayer while sharing with a friend (a patient of Dr. Kevin Huang’s). She told her, "you must take your mom to Dr. Huang". I know he can help her! Immediately after Colonoscopy my daughter called Dr. Huang on her cell. Right after the Colonoscopy my daughter brought me here and it made me feel 100% better, and I actually got relieved when I got here. It was really peaceful and comforting. On August 6, 2012, I began treatments of acupuncture and herbal medicine. I really didn’t have any expectations. I just thought I would try it. I mean after all I was Stage 4. My daughters’ friend said you could trust him. What makes it better is that he’s a believer. He prayed with us and said I needed to start a diet change. I had acupuncture the same day. I could not believe the difference. You have to remember I was on my death bed and it felt good when I came here. I felt like a new person. I had so much energy and felt great. I also received 25 treatments of Chemotherapy and radiation together every day, while I was receiving acupuncture.

I had consultation for surgery on August 16th 2012. I was told it would be 6-8- hr surgery, I would need blood transfusions (due to my low hemoglobin), and more than likely I would have a Colostomy bag. A day prior to my surgery my hemoglobin was up to 9 (thank you Jesus and Dr. Huang). The night before the surgery, the surgeon called and said she felt comfortable doing the surgery without transfusions. All my other labs were also normal and that was due to acupuncture. I wasn’t taking any medications or anything. I underwent a 10-hr surgery Splenectomy, liver biopsy, 2 ribs removed and my diaphragm re-arranged. As soon as I came out of anesthesia, my Surgeon was so excited and with tears in her eyes she told me, “Great news honey! No colostomy bags and no transfusions! You did wonderful!” Praise God!

I was in the hospital 10 days. As soon as I was discharged my daughter brought me back to Dr. Huang. I was weak and frail, still had 4 drain tubes and could barely walk. I felt so at peace and energized physically and mentally every time we came here. Dr. Huang always prayed with us and his staff is so caring. (Love you girls) My daughter continued to faithfully bring me to the treatments. December, I started my chemotherapy and radiation treatments. I truly believe the acupuncture help you cope with the chemotherapy and radiation. At the end of the treatments they did blood work and a CAT Scan and found that I was cancer free! It has been a year, cancer free. And I still continue with my acupuncture treatments. I thank God, Dr Huang and his loving and kind staff for saving my life. I am truly a miracle!

I just remember sitting in the waiting room waiting to receive my treatments of Chemotherapy and radiation and the looks on the people’s faces were sad and they complained of nausea and all the complications they were having and I just remember being so grateful to be coming here. I wouldn’t say I was a firm believer before coming here. I knew of natural medicine but I just never had the opportunity to try it. I really enjoy the way he prays with you first before the acupuncture treatments. I’ve never seen anybody like that before – just right in the open he just prays for you. One day he just got right down on his knees and prayed. I will never forget this. After the first treatment I was so energetic. I came everyday for almost a week prior to my surgery. I literally left here jumping and skipping. There isn’t one day that I have come here and I leave feeling sad. I leave feeling uplifted. It helped me cope better mentally and emotionally.

In every way this recovery has affected life! I love coming here. Dr. Huang doesn’t only heal your body, he heals your body and soul. This place is truly a miracle. All the staff are wonderful, loving, and caring - like family. I just feel so incredibly blessed and I could never say thank you enough. Words can’t say it. I mean he literally saved my life. After the first treatment I was ready to hop on out of here and I had energy! It was not just physical; it was mental because he gave me so much hope. I didn’t expect to get these results.

I slowly regained my strength and began 30 min walks in Oct. I started walking early November and I started to walk for 30 mins to 1 hr. (I now walk for hours and do Aqua Fitness regularly). I am so grateful to my daughter and her friend for telling her about Dr. Huang and his wonderful caring staff. He is a man of God and loves to serve the Lord. He is truly a miracle worker. At my follow-up appointment, I was referred to my Oncologist. He suggested I have 25 Chemo + Radiation treatments simultaneously everyday as precaution. I thank God and Dr. Huang's faithful care. I slowly regained my strength and began 30 min walks in Oct. I started walking early November and I started to walk for 30 mins to 1 hr. (I now walk for hours and do Aqua Fitness regularly). I finished Chemo + Radiation in Feb 2013. Since then my follow-up appointments have been great. To this day one year later April, 2014, I AM CANCER FREE AND I AM A WALKING MIRACLE! I AM SO BLESSED I HAVE THE GREATEST LOVING CARING DAUGHTER IN THE WORLD!

STAGE 4 HEAD, NECK AND THROAT CANCER THAT SPREAD TO MY LUNGS

“I was Stage 4 head, neck, throat cancer that spread to my lungs, my survival was low and I am now free of cancer according to my last PET scan. The fact that they can’t see it on a scan is pretty amazing to me!”

I was diagnosed on August 5, 2013 with Stage 4 Head, Neck and Throat Cancer. I was scared and worried. My condition basically kept me locked down at home on my couch and it was lonely. It kept me fatigued all the time with a dry mouth and limited me from doing cardio. It limited me from going out in the sun and kept me from the beach and riding my bike. I suffered with this condition for 1 year.

I had radiation to the throat area, chemotherapy for 5 weeks - 1 every week during 24 radiation treatments to the throat. The second round was 1 every 3 weeks for 6 months. I had a throat tube put in because I couldn’t breath when I went into the ER, and I was there for a month. The tracheostomy tube did not come out for 4 months because the tumor was wrapped around my esophagus. When they took the tube out and did another scan, they found that the cancer had spread to my lungs. They did a needle biopsy and found out that it was the same from my throat and that it had spread. It was a cancerous lung nodule 8mm that spread from my throat.

I had 6 rounds of chemotherapy for the lungs. I was also on medications for pain (morphine and hydrocodone) and Xanax for anxiety. I didn’t like any of it because the whole process of treatments made me miserable, and I had a lot of anxiety with the chemotherapy treatments.
I was always a believer in natural remedies and I read a lot about it first. I came to Agape Acupuncture on February 6, 2014 and found Dr. Huang to be knowledgeable and that they were really concerned about me and very supportive. I found the clinic to be fantastic with excellent customer service and a clean facility - sweet people over here, honest and reliable. I hoped to find healing of my cancer all the way naturally instead of with drugs. I started acupuncture treatments along with natural herbs and diet guidance.

After I started coming to Agape Acupuncture, I have been getting better everyday and it is promoting to heal the body naturally. Socially I can get out a little more and exercise more. I don’t have to hide my appearance from the sun because the chemotherapy beats you up and it shows on your face. I have more energy and over all feel better. Ever since I’ve even coming here, the last 2 scans, CT scan and PET scan were the best I had and were clear and free of cancer. The staff is very helpful, kind, understanding and educated. I found the medical staff to be very respectful, very kind and knowledgeable. I feel fantastic about the results and clear and no cancer on my last scans. My family and loved ones are ecstatic at my results.

I will definitely refer others to Dr. Kevin Huang because I find natural medicine to be fantastic. I would say they helped me and brought me through a lot of turmoil. I would make a point to tell others I was Stage 4 head, neck, throat cancer that spread to my lungs, my survival was low and I am now free of cancer according to my last PET scan. The fact that they can’t see it on a scan is pretty amazing to me! I would recommend natural medicine to anybody, whether they have cancer or not. It restores your body naturally from toxins and Dr. Huang has excellent credentials.
