When I first saw Dr. Kevin Huang, my prognosis was dim. I was diagnosed with colon cancer that had spread to my liver and a rare gastrointestinal stromal tumor. I had undergone surgery for the colon cancer and was put on a type of chemo that made me sick. I lost a lot of weight and was extremely anxious and depressed. I had never been treated with acupuncture before and was hesitant to add yet another treatment to my protocol, but I was desperate to find help.
Dr. Huang immediately reassured me that “Aculove” was painless and effective. My surgeon told me that I probably had a year if I did not do anything. I wanted to try a more holistic approach instead of just relying on traditional medicine and chemo. Dr. Huang’s methodology helped me to remain calm, sleep better, and gain weight while also lowering my CEA (cancer markers). As a result, I was able to survive two more major surgeries and two additional chemotherapies. Even when I was recuperating from surgery, Dr. Huang kept in touch with me. Now that my scans reflect the good news that there is no evidence of cancer, I have returned to Dr. Huang’s care so that I can remain cancer free. Additionally, Dr. Huang helped to reduce the inflammation that caused my liver markers to remain high following surgery. I trust Dr. Huang and know that he has my best interests at heart.

I am on medication from the regular doctor, however, the oncologist is surprised by the progress I am making. God is good and in the business of healing, even in our modern times. In September of 2010 I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. I was told I needed surgery ASAP. Ten days later the surgeon removed one kidney. The doctor told me I was healed, however, in April 2011 a new CT scan revealed three new cancer spots, now on my pancreas. At this time I started to look into natural solutions.
The Lord led me to Agape Natural Health. I am convinced it is the work of the Lord. I live 55 miles away and we have many doctors who practice acupuncture in our area. When my wife and I met Dr. Huang and his office staff for the first time we were convinced that this was the place we needed to come for help.
I started in May of 2011 with acupuncture, herbs and Dr. Huang gave me advice on diet and exercise. My life has changed drastically. My food intake is entirely different from what it was before, including a much more fruit and vegetables and a much healthier lifestyle overall.

The acupuncture cancer patient found Agape Acupuncture and although the clinic was almost 60 miles from their home, they felt that they should come visit the clinic. The patient came to the clinic and started acupuncture. Dr. Kevin Huang offered the acupuncture cancer patient dietary and exercise guidelines to help the patient live a healthier life. In August 2010, I was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and it spread to my liver. In September 2010 I had surgery to remove the tumor. My eyes were yellow. I felt like I was hit by a train at 200 mph and this illness changed my life completely. It affected my state of mind knowing that the outcome for 95% of the people with this same disease die within the first year. I was a very active person with interests for doing different things. It was like someone came and extinguished my light for life. I no longer had an interest to keep going forward. In October 2010 I had Whipple surgery (also known as pancreaticoduodenectomy - this procedure involves removal of the head of the pancreas next to the first part of the small intestine. It also involves removal of the duodenum, a portion of the common bile duct, gallbladder, and a portion of the stomach. Surgeons then reconnect the remaining intestine, bile duct, and pancreas.) From April 2011 – August 2012 I was put on chemotherapy. The side effects from Chemotherapy were numbness in my feet, nausea, and sores in my mouth. It was really bad and painful. The Chemotherapy was supposed to wipe out the tumor but it grew.
Two years ago, I came to see Dr. Kevin Huang. But I was skeptical and didn’t trust natural medicine, so I decided to do the Whipple surgery and Chemotherapy instead. The drugs and surgeries failed and my cancer went from Stage 1 to Stage 3 and it spread to the liver. I wasn’t a firm believer in natural medicine before coming here and I wasn’t sure that acupuncture would help. I see light at the end of the tunnel. Natural medicine helped reduce my tumor. The evidence is the proof. I have more energy and I lost weight. My friends and loved ones are happy for me, and I have already referred someone to Agape Acupuncture. In July, 2006, I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. It was completely unexpected. On August 8, 2006 I had surgery to have a mass by the left groin removed. I had low energy and my left leg was swollen from the surgery. The medical doctors prescribed Prednisone, a corticosteroid drug medication, and my chemotherapy was scheduled for September, 2006.
On September 11, 2006, I came to the Natural Medicine Center. I wanted to go natural before starting chemotherapy, so that all the side effects from chemo would be minimized.
