A friend told me her husband had found success with acupuncture in treating Plantar Fasciitis and January 2012, I started coming to Agape Acupuncture, Inc. I hoped to get better. November 2012 I was diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis and I’ve had migraines for 15 years. My initial reaction to the diagnosis was despair because I’m a Zumba Instructor. I thought this would stop me from continuing. I had severe pain in my left foot and heel, which affected my work, home, and social life. I could barely walk, I could not do my chores or exercise. I was a Zumba Instructor; I had got a lot of new jobs and then my foot started to hurt with Plantar Fasciitis. I wanted to keep walking, so I gave natural medicine a try. Before coming to Agape Acupuncture I tried reflexology treatments from September 2011 – November 2011. The treatments were relaxing and it felt good but it did not last and it did not heal anything.

On October 29, 2004, I came to the Agape Acupuncture, Inc. because I wanted to stop my jaw from snapping and to stop the pain. It seemed like a good idea, the office was close to my work. I had acupuncture, herbal medicine and supplements. The treatments are painless, relaxing and help to clear the mind.
I started to feel better after the 1st week of treatments. I have no more headaches, I sleep better, I’m healthier, and I have more energy. I don’t sleep with the night guard or clench my teeth tight anymore. It’s back to normal. The staff is awesome, friendly, supportive and willing to help. I am really excited and happy to find a solution. I am amazed at results like this, and I would refer others for any type of problem. Two surgeries could not do what natural medicine did!

For 10 years, since my sophomore year in high school, I suffered from Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Syndrome. I really did not know what it was, and the only way to fix it was by surgery. I was scared and upset. In my junior year of high school, I had the surgery. Two years later, I had another surgery. I had to sleep with a mouth guard, and I would wake up in the morning with a sore jaw and neck. After each surgery, I could not eat for 2 weeks and the recovery was long.
This condition was very painful, and I also had bad headaches as a result of this. My jaw would pop open if I was talking or opening my mouth. The surgeries did not work, and the doctors wanted to do a 3rd surgery, but I refused. The doctors prescribed pain pills and anti-inflammatory medications, which I took. I had massage therapy and I went for physical therapy for 3 months. It was fine for a couple of months, but it came back – the snapping of my jaw and headaches came back. The treatments did not work and did not take care of the problem.

My second time with Dr. Huang. He has treated me before with success every time. I avoid your average doctor and the pharmaceutical industry because they never treat the problem. I have digestive issues and sometimes it gets difficult because it affects my eating. I hate it but Dr. Huang treats me with herbs, acupuncture and encourages me to push forward. At age nine I experienced my first migraine. I have been suffering from migraines for the last seven years. The past year was especially painful. I began to experience at least one migraine each week. The pain from the migraines intensified after receiving a concussion from football.

Agape acupuncture is great! Kevin and Janet are amazing people and amazing doctors. They cured our 6 month old son of colic.
