Dr. Huang is a lifesaver!
On November 24, 2018, I went to the dermatologist and was diagnosed with eczema dermatitis. I was shocked. I didn't realize I had something that serious because I was pretty healthy; it was odd that I had severe eczema. Eczema caused me to have severe swelling, major pain that felt like someone was punching me in the face. My primary doctor prescribed Prednisone, but they had bad side effects. I even tried high dose IV, and that didn't help at all. They kept prescribing me more and more medication; it made everything worse. Eczema affected my social life, work, and sleep. I was in pain all day, sad, and depressed. I wanted my life back, and I knew there had to be a better way.
I heard people used acupuncture, so I looked online and found Agape Natural Health. All I wanted was my life back, to be free from the constant pain! My family was supportive and so excited for me to try acupuncture because they love natural medicines.
On September 20, 2019, I came to Agape Nature Health for my consultation with Dr. Huang. I received acupuncture, herbal medicine, and dietary guidelines. I followed all of the recommendations, had a proper bedtime, and I got the results fast! After my first treatment, the pain was almost gone. The swelling went down, no headaches, no pain! I could sleep without medication. The needles didn't hurt, and the doctor was super gentle.
I was always a firm believer in natural medicine since back home; my grandfather did acupuncture. I've seen results growing up but never used it for myself until now. WHAT IS ECZEMA?
Eczema is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that leads to red, dry, and itchy skin. The cause of eczema is unknown. Eczema is linked to an over-active immune system. The immune system is triggered by a substance inside or outside of the body. When the substance stimulates the body, the immune system responds by producing inflammation. Eczema is commonly found in children but can occur in adults. They tend to flare up periodically on the face, inside the elbows and the knees, and on hands and feet. Eczema is noncontagious and may clear up with time or get worse over time.
ECZEMA SYMPTOMS
Symptoms of eczema vary in each individual, and an outbreak can occur in different areas of the body throughout the various times of the year. An individual may experience dry and itchy skin that is usually severe at night. When scratched, fluid may leak and crust over, leaving the skin to feel raw, sensitive, and swollen. Over time, the skin will thicken, crack, scale, and turn into red to brownish-gray patches. For infants, they may experience eczema outbreaks on their head and scalp.

There is no cure for eczema. Treatments vary from medication to home remedies to help relieve itching and prevent new outbreaks, but not all treatment will work for everyone. It may take various treatments or home remedies for several months or years to control eczema. Topical cream or ointment prescribed by their doctor can help control itch and repair the skin, but with overuse of the medication, it can cause thin skin, affects the immune system, and have black box warning of the potential risk of cancer. At four months old, my son developed eczema on his cheeks. When he was old enough to crawl, it spread all over his neck, arms, and legs. He was covered in big, red spots that inflamed throughout his body. His skin was dry, flaky, and scaly that looked and felt like an alligator. There was not a spot on his arms, hands, and leg that wasn't eczema. Everything I did for my son did not help. He was miserable. His eczema kept him up all day and all night, causing him to be restless. I was restless, too.
When his pediatrician told me that it was just a baby rash, which is common in infants, it will eventually go away. Since it didn't go away and it came back worse than before, that was when his pediatrician diagnosed my son with eczema. What came across my mind was “are you kidding me!” I couldn't believe such a thing could happen to my precious little boy. I wasn't aware of what eczema was or have I seen them before so seeing my son acquire such condition was unbelievable.
We used everything from over the counter antihistamine cream, and body oil to prescription steroid cream and nothing helped to relieve the pain he was experiencing. His primary pediatrician even increased his steroid cream dosage and recommended other over-the-counter creams, but it just made his eczema worse. I felt hopeless for my son. Even with intensive research on eczema, everything I did for him, including his doctor recommendation and home remedies for eczema did not work. It was just a temporary relief. There was nothing modern medicine could do to help my little boy. The inflammation was unbearable that it made him irritable, grumpy, and itchier that he couldn't stay asleep for more than 15-30 minutes at a time.
