After years of having stomach digestion issues due to a stomach gas infusion during a surgery, 2016 was a very hard year for me. I had two infections in my body and my immune system went out of control not knowing which infection to heal: my stomach not digesting the food/having pain under my right rib or a face infection getting worse with heat and dust; it was like everything affected my face. I went to see 2 dermatologist, one endocrinologist, one GI doctor and I received many comments from about 6 other different doctors. I had 10 medical test, from a face Biopsy to hormones test, nothing seemed to be out of control except that my blood was very thick and my white cell counts were going down while my red cells began to lose their shape due to the infection but there were no traces of the infection source. Nobody knew from where the infection was coming from.
     
Even when I didn’t take medicine for the past 15 years; now every prescribed medicine I took made my hands and legs swollen, the creams and topical ointments prescribed made my face worse and itchy, flaky or dry. I felt without drive and hopeless; my immune system was getting weaker and weaker as the Summer rose. I had my stomach inflated and swollen under the rib and in constant pain; I wasn’t digesting oils, protein, and eating spinach, meat, potatoes or Cilantro would make the face flare, depending on what I had ingested the pain increased or decreased.

Constantly in the morning time I woke up with swollen fingers and hand’s articulations pain, as I am a pianist by profession, those mornings were devastating. A bump in my eyelid began to grow, I began to feel disoriented and dizzy, unable to concentrate.

One night I said good bye to my husband, I felt like I was going to die. We prayed together and we ask for God’s will. I had the option to fly to the South of Mexico but we were concerned about my body’s weakness and the polluted air during the flight.

More than 10 doctors said that stomach and face are not related but my family doctor had a different approach, he was sure that the face infection was coming from the stomach; we had Ozone therapy and other natural medical treatments; with constancy the redness in the face was less intense, the pain was coming and going; but even when I was feeling better I wasn’t healing, those remedies worked to a certain point, not cured after all.

The medical bills began to increase until the moment when I was unable to pay more treatments.

I decided to try acupuncture but I didn’t want to go to a place with figurines and posters but in my mind I wanted a contemporary reliable acupuncture doctor. I prayed to God for a Christian Acupuncture Doctor. I searched the internet and God guided me to Dr. Kevin Huang and Agape Acupuncture.                   

After 2 months of treatment now the face inflammation and the face infection are under control, the pain has decreased too. I know that I still need time for my immune system to be cured, healed and stronger but I also need to pay all those expensive medical bills. I need to come back to Dr. Huang and his friendly staff to complete the healing recovery road but that will be my next story.

My Name is Austin. I am 19 years old and I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 2006 when I was 12 years old. Ulcerative Colitis (UC) is an Auto-Immune Disease that attacks the colon and causes severe diarrhea and bleeding.

My Mom and Dad took me to many specialist doctors and all of them said that there is no cure for UC and they all wanted get me on Drugs! One doctor even recommended to have my colon removed. Yes – at 12 years old.

After my colonoscopy and diagnosis I ended up on medical steroids.  The side effects of steroids are horrible (Major Face Swelling, acne, weight gain, etc..) We were not satisfied with what the doctors were saying and doing. We prayed and asked God to help us find a treatment. We found Dr. Kevin Huang and The Natural Medicine Center: Praise God for them!

My Dad saw an article in the paper for Natural Medicine and made an appointment for me to see Dr. Huang. When I first arrived I was miserable and was sick of seeing doctors and just wanted to be healthy again. When we sat down with Dr. Huang and he laid out a plan to get me back on track. I started doing acupuncture and taking herbs and had to fully change my diet. I knew it was going to be hard but in the end it was all going to be worth it. I went to acupuncture 2-3 times a week and continued to take my herbs until I was 17.

I was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and gastritis a year ago. It started with skin rashes, and I began to see a dermatologist. I also had stomach aches, and my stomach got worse. I suffered from terrible cramping, fatigue, loss of appetite, skin dryness, hair loss, diarrhea and constipation. I was not feeling well and was tired. I quit work, had no social life and lost spirit. I have been extremely healthy all my life, but the IBS was progressive and began to rule my life. I was hoping someone could help.

My medical doctor prescribed two sessions of antibiotics, and then I was prescribed Librax which I took for 6 months. I had side effects such as drowsiness and my stomach was uneasy. I got temporary relief but I felt like a guinea pig, and the medication did not treat the cause.

The acupuncture was painless, relaxing and rejuvenating, and it released stress.

Within the first day of getting the acupuncture and herbal medicine I noticed improvements. Within one week, I was 75% better and the cramps stopped. With the herbs and diet change, I have never had cramping again and my energy has improved. After 2 months of treatment, I have improved 100%.

I am thrilled about the results, and I feel blessed to be able to come to natural medicine. My family has been very supportive, and they are relieved to see such an improvement. The staff is very friendly, loving and has a good sense of humor. They have the knowledge of how natural medicine can help improve the quality of life. Give it a chance - I’m positive it can help. In September 2015, I found out I had erosive gastritis, hiatal hernia. After many visits to doctors and specialists, my stomach wasn't getting any better. Dr. Huang is compassionate and caring. He listens to you and encourages you. Most of all, he truly reflects the love of God! I truly believe that the Lord worked through Dr. Huang to heal me. I am so happy and blessed to had been referred to Dr. Huang and his wonderful staff of caring people. I am thanking God for healing my body and using Dr. Huang as his vessel to fulfill God's blessings.

I was at my wits end and in so much pain for months. Doctors kept telling me to have surgery and that there would be a 10% chance after surgery of having incontinence. I left the doctors that day in tears. My beautiful daughter said, "Mom surgery should be your last choice. I have a good friend in Long Beach that does acupuncture and practices Eastern medicine, let me call her." She said she would be happy to see me, but would need to see me at least 3 times a week. Well being over an hour away would not work, so she was more than happy to refer me to Dr. Huang at Agape Acupuncture. I tell you, this was a total God thing.
