I had been suffering from inflammation and infection throughout my body and was taking a lot of antibiotics along with two stays in the hospital in 2019. I was found to have Colon Cancer and had the surgery to remove a section of my Colon. As a precaution the Oncologist strongly suggested chemotherapy. I agreed and began the series of infusions. However, they did not test for an enzyme in my blood saying it was rare and I suffered from unrelenting nausea for 20 straight days with little relief. I returned to the hospital and spent almost two weeks trying to diagnose the problem. The doctors advised that my immune system was destroyed by the chemotherapy and the inflammation was back. After almost two weeks of three antibiotics and several other medications and flushing my systems I recovered. I had lost a lot of weight, was extremely weak and advised to stay away from people due to my weak immune system. I was staying at home for months except for the doctor visits with a very slow recovery. 

My daughter told a colleague at work of my situation and she recommended Dr. Huang who had done wonders for her family. My daughter T took me to meet Dr. Huang and he seemed to really understand my situation. He said the priority was to help my immune system recover and bring my strength back to all my systems. During the following months I continued to get stronger and did not experience any signs of inflammation or urination problems like I had experienced in the earlier stages.

I have since had a biopsy of my Prostate and there is no signs of Cancer. I have continued the Acupuncture, begun exercising, eating the doctor's recommended diet and taking the supplements prescribed. I am feeling stronger both physically and mentally and thank God and Dr. Huang for my renewed life. Stepping into Agape Acupuncture for the first time, the thing that struck me the most was the beauty of the clinic. Then, the friendly staff greeted me and brought me in for my first treatment. That was two years ago and I have been going in for acupuncture treatments ever since. When I first came in to the clinic, I had just finished a battle with Leukemia (AML with a FLT 3 mutation) and had to undergo three rounds of chemo and two bone marrow transplants because the first one had failed. 

I still remember when the doctor said I’d have only two months to live. As a result of all this strain on my body, I came out cancer free, but with chronic graft vs host disease. I had low platelets which resulted in constant bloody noses that were pretty annoying to deal with on a day to day basis. To deal with this, my doctors required me to get weekly platelet infusions just to keep my platelets around 20 which is still very low. I also had a damaged liver and my overall facial complexion was much darker than normal. 

After coming to Dr. Huang, for treatment, my platelets, liver enzyme levels, and complexion have all gotten better, confirmed by doctor, blood work and lab results. I have definitely been able to enjoy life much more because of this. When I first got here, I constantly worried about the next time I’d get a bloody nose out of nowhere because they took a while to stop or if my facial complexion looked fine. Now, I feel much more relaxed about my nose and facial complexion since they have both recovered close to normal, which makes me excited for the future. I haven’t even had to get a platelet infusion in a very long time! In August 2010, I was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and it spread to my liver. In September 2010 I had surgery to remove the tumor. My eyes were yellow. I felt like I was hit by a train at 200 mph and this illness changed my life completely. It affected my state of mind knowing that the outcome for 95% of the people with this same disease die within the first year. I was a very active person with interests for doing different things. It was like someone came and extinguished my light for life. I no longer had an interest to keep going forward. In October 2010 I had Whipple surgery (also known as pancreaticoduodenectomy - this procedure involves removal of the head of the pancreas next to the first part of the small intestine. It also involves removal of the duodenum, a portion of the common bile duct, gallbladder, and a portion of the stomach. Surgeons then reconnect the remaining intestine, bile duct, and pancreas.) From April 2011 – August 2012 I was put on chemotherapy. The side effects from Chemotherapy were numbness in my feet, nausea, and sores in my mouth. It was really bad and painful. The Chemotherapy was supposed to wipe out the tumor but it grew.

Two years ago, I came to see Dr. Kevin Huang. But I was skeptical and didn’t trust natural medicine, so I decided to do the Whipple surgery and Chemotherapy instead. The drugs and surgeries failed and my cancer went from Stage 1 to Stage 3 and it spread to the liver. From May 2012 to August 2012, CT Scan report and scientific instruments showed that the tumor grew, and it was now attached to the artery. The tumor was life-threatening and inoperable. On August 23, 2012, I decided to come back to Dr. Huang and start acupuncture treatments and herbs. I came because I knew someone with a tumor in her pancreas and she had received acupuncture and her tumor shrank 17 ml. I stopped Chemotherapy completely and was on natural medicine only from August 2012 to October 2012. During the treatments, Dr. Huang was very supportive through his knowledge and so was the medical staff at Agape Acupuncture, Inc. However, I remained skeptical and negative about recovery because this disease is very silent. I thought for sure I was getting worse and going to die. Dr. Huang told me to base things on fact and not on feeling and to wait for the next CT Scan and lab tests.

On October 30, 2012, my new CT Scan report and scientific instruments confirmed that my tumor shrank nearly 50% one dimension one side. It went from 37mm to 20mm from August 15, 2012 to October 12, 2012. The UCI Oncologist Chief Surgeon confirmed that the tumor shrank and it separated from the artery. Now there is an option for surgery and there are no new lesions. Seeing the results on paper that my tumor had shrank brought me comfort and my state of mind was renewed somewhat. My tumor is not completely gone but I feel I am on the right path. The fact that my tumor has shrunk has been the best news since my diagnosis.

I wasn’t a firm believer in natural medicine before coming here and I wasn’t sure that acupuncture would help. I see light at the end of the tunnel. Natural medicine helped reduce my tumor. The evidence is the proof. I have more energy and I lost weight. My friends and loved ones are happy for me, and I have already referred someone to Agape Acupuncture. I didn’t expect these results but I cannot deny what natural medicine can do. It has been around for over 2,000 years. You have to come here with faith and give it a try. By telling my testimony, I hope that others will realize the benefits of natural medicine. I feel thrilled and encouraged about the results! It made me a believer of acupuncture.

Acupuncture Breast Cancer Support, acupuncture cancer pain and Natural Medicine Center is very pleased to share with you a left ventricular ejection fraction report done with NM Cardiac Blood Pool Imaging, Gagted Equilibrium, Wall Motion Study With Ejection Fraction Test from a patient that is battling breast cancer stage 2 diagnosed in October 2012

Patient is currently going through chemotherapy along with acupuncture cancer support with Natural Medicine Center.  She is making great improvements while she struggles with the side-effects of chemotherapy.  We are complementing her with acupuncture cancer support.  The chemotherapy medications’ side-effects the patient is on are known to have cardiotoxicity and that would lower the left ventricular ejection fraction and increase the risk of heart failure.

Patient had left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) test done before starting for the first time chemotherapy and the result was 56.2% on 11-13-12where above 55% is considered normal range.  Patient has been receiving chemotherapy at Kaiser and acupuncture breast cancer support with us here at Natural Medicine Center at the same time and the results came from Kaiser on 2-26-13 almost 3 months of chemotherapy along with acupuncture breast cancer support where the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) was greatly improved to 72%!  It was a great result where the patient’s ejection fraction improved with acupuncture breast cancer support and not decrease as was expected by her other doctors due to the chemotherapy.

BREAST CANCER STARTING A NEW & HEALTHY LIFE

“The results were excellent. I started feeling better right away.”

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in March of 2004. I could not believe it, and I didn’t want to die. I thought I was healthy, but I noticed that I would get tired easily and my bowel movements were once every 3 days. The diagnosis of cancer affected my work, home and personal life. I was in pain, I had depression and anxiety, and I could not do my regular activities. I thought of my family and me not being in their lives. I even thought about raising my insurance so that I could leave my kids financially stable. On April 5, 2004, the doctors gave me surgery to remove both breasts. They also prescribed drug medications and sleeping pills. The mastectomy was not a guarantee so they gave me chemotherapy as well. Given the suggestion to have both breasts removed, I went ahead with it, but I felt that I did more than what I should have done.

On April 12, 2004, my sister recommended me to the Natural Medicine Center. I had acupuncture, herbal medicine and was given nutrition guidelines. The acupuncture is painless and the herbal teas are bitter and strong but good for you. I hoped that natural medicine would help maintain my health through the chemotherapy sessions. The results were excellent. I started feeling better right away and I was fine after my first chemo. I had a total of 6 chemotherapy sessions, and after each session they would do blood work and everything was normal. The treatments also helped me because I didn’t lose all my hair, like facial. When I went back to the hospital, they were very surprised of the way I looked and felt. My family and friends were also very surprised of my results and the way I went through chemotherapy differently from other chemotherapy patients.

My energy is better and I have an improved quality of life. My vision is getting better and I don’t take any drugs, not even for headaches. I am able to sleep well and I do not suffer from depression or anxiety. I have been able to spend more time with my kids, socialize, and go back to work. I see life differently and I am closer to God. The Natural Medicine clinic is clean and peaceful. The staff is excellent, like family – very caring, nice and loving. “To this day March, 2014, I AM CANCER FREE AND I AM A WALKING MIRACLE!”

On August 6, 2012 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. I was in shock and disbelief. I was not feeling myself for a long time. My husband died of cancer 14 years ago. All I could think of was what we went through and I thought “I can’t go through it again.” I thought about my family; especially my daughter. All we have is each other. I decided to fight. I went to the doctor and blood tests were done. They found out I was severely anemic, my hemoglobin was at a 5, and I was bleeding internally; which explained my lack of energy and motivation. Then they sent me to a Hematologist and he ordered more blood work, X-Rays, and a Ultrasound. Finally he ordered a CAT Scan. It revealed a huge mass on the left side against my abdomen cavity. The cancer had perforated the colon and began to grow and you could see it on the doctors face that they were like, “Wow! What are we dealing with here?” Right away they told me I would have to have transfusions.

He decided to keep me in the hospital overnight. This all happened in one afternoon; I had to call my daughter to let her know I was being admitted. She was in tears and shock, we never saw it coming. I will never forget the look on her face and what she said to me, “We are going to fight it and we are going to beat it!” I had a Colonoscopy 2 days later and discovered it was Stage 4 Colon Cancer. It affected every part of my life. I was not myself at all. I was depressed. All I wanted to do or could do was sleep. I had been feeling this way for a very long time - 5 years. I had no desire to do anything. I started bleeding internally and that’s when they found the cancer. I just was so exhausted. I would wake and I was already tired. I was just tired, tired, tired.

My daughter spread the word for prayer while sharing with a friend (a patient of Dr. Kevin Huang’s). She told her, "you must take your mom to Dr. Huang". I know he can help her! Immediately after Colonoscopy my daughter called Dr. Huang on her cell. Right after the Colonoscopy my daughter brought me here and it made me feel 100% better, and I actually got relieved when I got here. It was really peaceful and comforting. On August 6, 2012, I began treatments of acupuncture and herbal medicine. I really didn’t have any expectations. I just thought I would try it. I mean after all I was Stage 4. My daughters’ friend said you could trust him. What makes it better is that he’s a believer. He prayed with us and said I needed to start a diet change. I had acupuncture the same day. I could not believe the difference. You have to remember I was on my death bed and it felt good when I came here. I felt like a new person. I had so much energy and felt great. I also received 25 treatments of Chemotherapy and radiation together every day, while I was receiving acupuncture.

I had consultation for surgery on August 16th 2012. I was told it would be 6-8- hr surgery, I would need blood transfusions (due to my low hemoglobin), and more than likely I would have a Colostomy bag. A day prior to my surgery my hemoglobin was up to 9 (thank you Jesus and Dr. Huang). The night before the surgery, the surgeon called and said she felt comfortable doing the surgery without transfusions. All my other labs were also normal and that was due to acupuncture. I wasn’t taking any medications or anything. I underwent a 10-hr surgery Splenectomy, liver biopsy, 2 ribs removed and my diaphragm re-arranged. As soon as I came out of anesthesia, my Surgeon was so excited and with tears in her eyes she told me, “Great news honey! No colostomy bags and no transfusions! You did wonderful!” Praise God!

I was in the hospital 10 days. As soon as I was discharged my daughter brought me back to Dr. Huang. I was weak and frail, still had 4 drain tubes and could barely walk. I felt so at peace and energized physically and mentally every time we came here. Dr. Huang always prayed with us and his staff is so caring. (Love you girls) My daughter continued to faithfully bring me to the treatments. December, I started my chemotherapy and radiation treatments. I truly believe the acupuncture help you cope with the chemotherapy and radiation. At the end of the treatments they did blood work and a CAT Scan and found that I was cancer free! It has been a year, cancer free. And I still continue with my acupuncture treatments. I thank God, Dr Huang and his loving and kind staff for saving my life. I am truly a miracle!

I just remember sitting in the waiting room waiting to receive my treatments of Chemotherapy and radiation and the looks on the people’s faces were sad and they complained of nausea and all the complications they were having and I just remember being so grateful to be coming here. I wouldn’t say I was a firm believer before coming here. I knew of natural medicine but I just never had the opportunity to try it. I really enjoy the way he prays with you first before the acupuncture treatments. I’ve never seen anybody like that before – just right in the open he just prays for you. One day he just got right down on his knees and prayed. I will never forget this. After the first treatment I was so energetic. I came everyday for almost a week prior to my surgery. I literally left here jumping and skipping. There isn’t one day that I have come here and I leave feeling sad. I leave feeling uplifted. It helped me cope better mentally and emotionally.

In every way this recovery has affected life! I love coming here. Dr. Huang doesn’t only heal your body, he heals your body and soul. This place is truly a miracle. All the staff are wonderful, loving, and caring - like family. I just feel so incredibly blessed and I could never say thank you enough. Words can’t say it. I mean he literally saved my life. After the first treatment I was ready to hop on out of here and I had energy! It was not just physical; it was mental because he gave me so much hope. I didn’t expect to get these results.

My friends and family were really amazed and in disbelief. They saw other patients go through what I went through without the treatments. There’s a little piece of Heaven here on Earth. There’s so many hurting people that don’t have to be hurting. It’s like the gospel, and some believe and some don’t. Daily I share about Dr. Huang and I’ve handed out so many cards. I carry a stack of cards in my purse. It most definitely works. Everything together is like the perfect combination. I think it's because it's all natural and coming from God. I would refer everybody that would come. I would just have to share with them what it did for me. It doesn’t take days, years or months. You immediately get the outcome! I’m the proof. The first day I left here able to walk and run. I think I said it all. All I can do is share what acupuncture has done for me and pray that you’ll believe.

On October 31, 2014, I started bleeding and then had testing done. I was diagnosed with Stage III Ovarian Cancer. I came here first for the bleeding. I knew I needed herbal medicine and acupuncture and on November 3rd, 2014, I started natural medicine treatments. Most people that know me know I do acupuncture and they also are into acupuncture. I believe in it. I used to do acupuncture; it’s good for relaxation stress release.

I had to bypass the fear that most people have and said “What do we do to fix it?” First they had to remove the growth. I had surgery on December 8th, 2014 and it was a hysterectomy. From the operation, I couldn’t do certain things, due to rebuilding myself to be able to lift and drive for a month or so. Then we had to do chemotherapy which lasted from the 3rd week of January, 2015 to May 13th, 2015. I chose the port chemo, which is the stronger one for my abdomen. Kaiser also prescribed to me stool softeners and nausea medication. I had 6 cycles each with 3 treatments of chemotherapy and then kept coming here for acupuncture 3 times a week. The acupuncture gives you that feeling of peace.

I am feeling good. Neighbors noticed how good I look and that I am strong. Chemo is very hard on the body. Everybody reacts differently. Chemotherapy breaks you down, so the acupuncture helped me from being broken down. Everybody said I look very good and that the natural medicine treatment has something to do with it. Nurses said it too. My body was strong enough to keep fighting. The acupuncture worked hand in hand with chemo and helped me balance the flow of energy to get you into that point.

The staff are all wonderful, fantastic and very caring and the clinic is well organized. I have referred my neighbor - her sister. I felt that it would help her. I always think that there are natural ways to take care of situations. I always thought to eat the right foods and you can keep yourself out of a lot of situations. The doctors also stressed diet for my condition. I encourage others to read some good information and give it a try. I’m always preaching it. Just got to believe. There’s always hope.
