On February 9, 2013 I started treatments at Agape Acupuncture, Inc. for Shingles pain and nerve pain. I was in a lot of pain and I was scared. My skin was burning and I couldn’t move my left arm. It was difficult to wear a shirt. I couldn’t exercise or get out of bed. Any movements caused me pain. I was just taking drug medications prescribed by my M.D. (Neorontin 300-600 mg doses).
I came to Agape Acupuncture and started treatments on March 11, 2013 because my son referred me. Dr. Huang is experienced, the testimonials are positive, and everyone at the clinic is very helpful. The staff is wonderful and aware - very positive too. I received acupuncture and herbal medicine. After the third treatment I felt better. My MD told me it will take about a year to get better. A little over 3 months ago I began to have terrible excruciating pain caused by Shingles. It was a constant pain and numbness. I kept doing what I would normally do, even during the pain. I was prescribed drug medicine by my medical doctor and it didn’t do anything for me. First off all, I don’t like taking pills, especially when it doesn’t accomplish anything. The medical doctor didn’t achieve anything – zero. I continued taking the drug medications until I started treatment at Agape Acupuncture on April 27, 2013.
