“I never imagined that a routine injection of medication from another doctor would lead to such a challenging health issue at the age of 73. After receiving the shot, I experienced a negative side-effect: shingles. However, shortly after this occurrence, I found myself battling excruciating neuralgia nerve pain, I immediately sought treatment at Agape Natural Health in Newport Beach, California. Dr. Huang helped me with the pain and with the cream. After two weeks, the Shingles dried up. The pain from the nerve damage still remained though and was agonizing. I could not exercise nor do anything with that leg. It was my left leg that was hit by Shingles. Gradually, the pain began to subside and I could walk again with a cane. Then. I could really walk without a cane and now, I am just trying to exercise every day and need to get back to the gym. I went back to Yoga but not the gym yet. It took about six weeks to get rid of all the problems from the Shingles.

I came to the Natural Medicine Center with a note that read “Please help me, I am in agony!!!!” Since I did not have an appointment, I thought that would get some action and it did. On February 9, 2013 I started treatments at Agape Acupuncture, Inc. for Shingles pain and nerve pain. I was in a lot of pain and I was scared. My skin was burning and I couldn’t move my left arm. It was difficult to wear a shirt. I couldn’t exercise or get out of bed. Any movements caused me pain. I was just taking drug medications prescribed by my M.D. (Neorontin 300-600 mg doses).

A little over 3 months ago I began to have terrible excruciating pain caused by Shingles. It was a constant pain and numbness. I kept doing what I would normally do, even during the pain. I was prescribed drug medicine by my medical doctor and it didn’t do anything for me. First off all, I don’t like taking pills, especially when it doesn’t accomplish anything. The medical doctor didn’t achieve anything – zero. I continued taking the drug medications until I started treatment at Agape Acupuncture on April 27, 2013.
