Since writing the above testimonial back in June 2018, I have continued to see Dr. Huang and receive acupuncture treatments (weekly) and continuing the Chinese Herbs regiment (daily). Every 3 months via Kaiser Permanente Health Care, I go thru a battery of blood tests, that are measuring all sorts of aspects on the health of my blood. All subsequent blood tests so far, have seen my blood levels come back to normal. The BIGGEST test for cancer is the Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA) test. It is a blood test used to help diagnose and manage certain types of colon cancers. These scores have all be in the acceptable range as well. This is the blood test that keeps me up at night, so far, so good!

Dear Dr. Huang,

Good Afternoon to you! I trust all is well with you and your staff. I just wanted to take a moment of reflection with you and thank you for the amazing care and treatment that your Clinic has been to me.

As you recall, last June 2017, I was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in my colon. Subsequent tests that month, showed all sorts of problems with my body and blood tests confirmed that I had a genetic defect in my colon. My Colonoscopy back in June showed around 60 to 70 polyps.

Thru a myriad of tests, everything came back clear except the cancer in my colon.

I came to your clinic in August of 2017 and you were quick to start a combination therapy of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs right away. Sept 2017 had me in the operating room to remove the cancer and surrounding tissue and I was out of the hospital in 6 days. At that time, I was diagnosed with Stage 3A Colon Cancer and needed to start chemotherapy right away.

Through the next 7 months of healing and chemo, the Therapy that Agape Acupuncture provided through your clinic was just great in getting me thru that troubling experience. I still remember being told by the doctors that my blood platelets were to low and I would need a blood transfusion. You were quick to add more Chinese Herbs, directed at that deficiency and within 1 week, my platelets zoomed up, so that I didn’t need a transfusion. That was a huge “sigh of relief”.

Thru the months of pain, sickness and fears, the prayers that you provide each time that I was in your office, were just soothing to the soul as the rest of the treatment was to my body.

As the months went on, you and your staff were just amazing in handling my chemo and your therapy at the same time. I remember all those days, where there were tubes coming out of my arm, filled with Chemo, and your staff never made fun of me and they always treated me with dignity and respect.

My Chemotherapy ended in Mid-March of 2018, and I have continued with my Acupuncture and Chinese herbs, now dealing with the post-chemo side effects.

2 Subsequent blood tests and body scans show my body is returning to normal. And there are lingering effects of Chemotherapy that will go away over time.

I am so thankful that God brought us together, you as the doctor and me as the patient. It has been an amazing ride.

My dad suffered depression because of his immune system being very low. I remember being in and out of the hospital because of his symptoms. He was unable to swallow liquids and food. He would get panic attacks and feel like he was unable to breathe. He would always be so tired and sometimes he would pass out. He lost weight do to him not being able to eat. He was scared to be alone so someone had to always be with him at all times. Doctors tests would come out fine. Many times they would just recommend a psychologist because they would say my dad was fine. That's when my dad walked in to see Dr. Huang, he immediately started treating him and my dad started to feel better. Today my dad is back to normal thanks to God first and for Dr. Huang who was always there for my family through that time. I learned a lot from the time my dad was recovering and learned that even though doctors might tell us we are fine, but if our bodies are not feeling well then there is something wrong. I became a firm believer in holistic medicine since then. Dr. Huang also treated my acne, something products did not do for me. I tried so many products and my face was getting dried and scarred. After treatment with Dr. Huang I stayed acne free majority of the time. I get one here and there now but nothing compared to what I use to have. The staff is amazing and the environment is relaxing!

5 STAR YELP FIRST TO REVIEW FROM V.B., YORBA LINDA, CALIFORNIA I came to Agape Acupuncture (literally in tears) from a bout of insomnia where I would wake up around 2 AM or earlier and not be able to get back to sleep. As a mother of two little ones this was very difficult and was taking a great toll mentally and physically. I was experiencing extreme fatigue and brain fog. I had already been diagnosed previously with adrenal fatigue the prior year and am on a specific detox/nutrition program, but the insomnia is a whole new beast. I'm a firm believer in natural medicine, herbs, and food as medicine but it takes a skilled healer(s) to apply these with good results. Plus everyone's body is unique.

Dr. Huang ran a simple diagnostic and was not surprised by the symptoms I was having based on the test results. Various organ systems were way out of balance. He prescribed a treatment plan and was quite confident that it could be of great help but would take time.

I am three months into my treatment plan with acupuncture and can say my sleep has improved 80% and keeps on improving. Ironically, I often fall asleep during a treatment as they are so relaxing! The rooms are very clean and calming. I still hit a few bumps in the road, but those days are becoming fewer so that tells me healing is occurring. Adrenal fatigue doesn't happen overnight, so I don't expect overnight healing.

You can tell Dr. Huang cares a great deal for his patients as does his staff. I believe Dr. Huang and Agape Acupuncture were an answer to prayer in my healing journey. He is Christian and gives God the glory for healing. He uses the wisdom of Eastern Medicine to treat the whole body.

I will definitely be recommending Agape Acupuncture to friends and family.

Every time we went in, we had so many questions for Dr. Huang, and he was always so patient and kind in answering us. He even took phone calls (so many calls!), and always understood our concerns. Just over a month of acupuncture, taking herbs and eating the foods Dr. Huang suggested, her rash was fading and her ankles were normal. She took blood tests and her thyroid level was normal for the first time in a year! No medications were necessary. Her iron was also normal even after stopping iron supplements-just changes in diet and getting her system healthy with acupuncture and herbs. Her low white blood cell count showed that she was still fighting the virus, which was also apparent as her energy was still low, and so we continued treatment. She slowly got back into working out with volleyball, but had to take it easy. In two and a half months, she would be leaving to the university where she would play volleyball. I was afraid she would need more time to heal after all her body had been going through, but Dr. Huang believed he could get her healthy by then.

Her next blood test was another month later, and at that point her cholesterol was down to
147. It went down over 50 points even after Dr. Huang had her add organic beef to her diet to help her iron. I asked him how it could be over 200 when she was practically a vegetarian and yet drop so much when she started eating beef. Dr. Huang explained that acupuncture and herbs were helping her liver function properly, which is a greater factor in cholesterol than just diet. The fact that my daughter was feeling better told me acupuncture was working, but seeing the blood tests was proof that it was really healing her inside. The patch of hair she had lost also started growing back, and her tonsils were getting smaller than they'd been in a year.

My 17-year-old daughter is an accomplished athlete who competes at a high level. At 16 she started having some health issues. Her blood tests showed that she had hyperthyroidism. Doctors wanted to put her on medication that would ultimately force her to be on medication for the rest of her life. We knew she was too young and otherwise healthy to do that, so we took her to a natural doctor who put her on vitamins to help her health improve.

About a year later, she lost a small patch of hair and we went back to the natural doctor to see what might have caused that. He took blood tests again and her thyroid was still hyper. Also her iron was low and he said she was anemic. She was often tired, but we thought it was from all the volleyball training. So she started taking iron to see if that would improve things. Strangely, her cholesterol was also high (over 200) even though she was practically a vegetarian. And her tonsils were always swollen.

After a few weeks on the iron, she came home from a volleyball tournament with swollen ankles. She thought she had double sprained ankles. Within a couple days, a dark red rash showed up on her ankles and spread up her legs to her knees. We took her to a dermatologist and he said it looked like an autoimmune response. At that point, she was also feeling really weak and she could barely walk with her swollen ankles. My husband researched her symptoms and we realized there was no known Western cure for what she was experiencing. There was only thyroid medication and steroids to reduce the symptoms, but nothing to actually heal her. So we looked up non-Western approaches to treating an autoimmune disorder, and we found Dr. Huang.

We went in scared and confused, watching our strong, healthy daughter in such a weak state. Dr. Huang seemed so confident that he could help her. He believed she had a virus (probably Epstein Bar) and her body had been fighting it since she first started not feeling well a year before. That was why her tonsils were always swollen. The virus finally took over and the autoimmune response was her immune system over-fighting until it actually attacked her own body.

In the beginning of treatment, her hands also started to swell and the rash looked like it was tying to come through on her arms, but acupuncture seemed to keep it from breaking out the way her legs did. She remained really weak the first couple weeks, but acupuncture did stabilize her. Every time we went in, we had so many questions for Dr. Huang, and he was always so patient and kind in answering us. He even took phone calls (so many calls!), and always understood our concerns.

Just over a month of acupuncture, taking herbs and eating the foods Dr. Huang suggested, her rash was fading and her ankles were normal. She took blood tests and her thyroid level was normal for the first time in a year! No medications were necessary. Her iron was also normal even after stopping iron supplements-just changes in diet and getting her system healthy with acupuncture and herbs. Her low white blood cell count showed that she was still fighting the virus, which was also apparent as her energy was still low, and so we continued treatment. She slowly got back into working out with volleyball, but had to take it easy. In two and a half months, she would be leaving to the university where she would play volleyball. I was afraid she would need more time to heal after all her body had been going through, but Dr. Huang believed he could get her healthy by then.

She had a couple set backs along the way, but Dr. Huang was always there to help her through. She continued getting stronger and after almost four months of seeing Dr. Huang, she was well-just in time to go off to USC where she is playing volleyball. She is fully back to playing and feels as strong as she was before she got sick.

Watching my daughter go through this brought on stress like I'd never felt before. I couldn't eat. I lost 10 pounds and ended up getting an ulcer. My digestive system was a mess and that led to hemorrhoids that wouldn't heal. I knew that if Dr. Huang could heal what my daughter had just gone through, he could heal me. And he did with acupuncture and herbs, I also got better.

Dr. Huang is a wonderful healer, and he is also a genuinely good man. He always keeps such a positive, encouraging attitude. At 14 years of age, I started getting migraine headaches. At that time, I really did not understand - I just knew I had pain. I had family members who also suffered from this: my mother, her sister, my maternal grandmother, and on my father’s side two of his sisters. I experienced a little halo before my eyes, as it progressed a little flash of light and then I would lose my peripheral vision. The headaches affected everything, and it got to the point I was bed ridden. When my migraines come on, I would have to seclude myself in a dark room (no light) and certain odors made it worse. I saw a Neurologist who prescribed shots and prescription drugs such as Imitrex, a muscle relaxer, medication for nausea and a few others ones. I also had biofeedback therapy. From 1988 to 2011 the treatments just treated the symptoms and not the problem. I suffered from a lifetime of headaches and saw 15 medical doctors with no success.

I was looking for something other than what I was having to take - something that worked with no aftermath. On June 11, 2012 I started acupuncture, herbs and dietary guidelines with Dr. Kevin Huang at Agape Acupuncture, Inc. The office is different but educational. It is not your customary doctor office. I really did not understand natural medicine and I was uneducated about it so I really did not have any expectations. A little over 3 months ago I began to have terrible excruciating pain caused by Shingles. It was a constant pain and numbness. I kept doing what I would normally do, even during the pain. I was prescribed drug medicine by my medical doctor and it didn’t do anything for me. First off all, I don’t like taking pills, especially when it doesn’t accomplish anything. The medical doctor didn’t achieve anything – zero. I continued taking the drug medications until I started treatment at Agape Acupuncture on April 27, 2013.

I never thought that it would take us nearly four years to be able to conceive again after our first miscarriage back in 2012. We were truly heartbroken amidst the hardship and everything we went through. Not knowing that it would literally take us this long, I began to feel frustrated with little hope. Around 2013 and 2014, we then decided to seek professional help by going to 2 different infertility clinics. After two attempts of IUI, tons of medications and injections, we felt it was just time to step back and take a break. I was tired! In the summer of 2015, I began to research alternative methods. While searching online, I came across several websites that offered “infertility acupuncture treatments”. I was a bit skeptical at first, but I went ahead and inquired about the treatment costs, etc. I stumbled across Dr. Huang’s website. What really captured my interest to pursue this even further was that this particular clinic was faith-based. I was drawn by the fact that his practice/professional work is his ministry! So, fast forward to the month of August 2015, we made an appointment to consult with Dr. Huang. I couldn’t help my tears when I was explaining to him what I’ve been through and how tough it’s been just to conceive and the worst part is, not actually knowing why as I’ve been classified as, “unexplained infertility”.

We immediately began treatment that same day and he gave us a run down about what type of foods to avoid, and that it would take about 3 months to prepare my body to conceive. At first, I thought, “seriously?” But we know that all we can do is just trust Dr. Huang’s recommendations. He also prescribed me some natural herbs to help with my blood and liver functions. The entire process takes a lot of time, patience and commitment. But the end result was definitely worth it. Nearly 5 months into the treatment, we found out early February that we’re pregnant and expecting our first child, a baby boy, due October 2016! I was diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure in January 2011. My FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone) was too high at 108. When I first found out, I was crying and felt frustrated with no hope. The doctors didn’t explain why. I couldn’t concentrate or work and had a lot of stress. I didn’t want to socialize. I’m a realtor and I couldn’t socialize with my clients, and this is part of my job. It was so depressing. I didn’t give quality time to my kids or friends because I was so depressed. I had 2 ultrasounds. The first doctor said my ovaries were so small and it seemed like I wouldn’t have any periods. I had a couple of follicles but it wasn’t enough. The second doctor, who did an ultrasound, didn’t see any follicles. My FSH was very high and it wasn’t going down. The only resources were egg donors. I was offered donor information with a book of women with eye color, hair color and was asked to describe how I wanted my child to look. I cried, got up and left. I felt hopeless. One of the doctors said, “I don’t want to give you hope because you are pre-menopausal.” I didn’t have any menopause symptoms. I needed to go to a place where they could give us hope because the doctors I saw couldn’t help.

I searched the internet for some sort of hope. No one gave us hope and everyone we went to were negative. I suffered from fibromyalgia for over 7 years, and I was diagnosed with heel spurs 3½ years ago. It started on my heels and then it went to my hip. This condition affected every aspect of my life. When I fist came to Agape Acupuncture, Inc. I had been battling with extreme pain due to being diagnosed with bulging discs in my back, shoulder injuries, ulnar nerve problems to my elbows and carpal tunnel. I had surgery on my right shoulder with not much success I was told I needed surgery to my left shoulder, carpal tunnel surgery to both wrists and possible back surgery. I was having extreme pain where I was taking medication for pain, nerve pain pills, sleeping pills, anti-inflammatory meds, etc. I had difficulty walking, due to sciatic nerve pain which radiated down to my calf. I walked with a limp with my left foot turned out. The only way I was somewhat comfortable walking was with Z-coil shoes, which were shoes that had a spring in them that helped to absorb the impact. I could not sit for very long. I could not let anyone touch me as it was extremely painful. I had such extreme fatigue I could not get out of bed for very long without being exhausted again. I was not able to work for 5 years I wasn't able to live a normal life. I went through treatment with western medicine doctors with very little to no relief.

I was at my wits end and looking for other options for treatment, not wanting to go through another surgery. I had heard about acupuncture and people having good success. My husband researched to find an acupuncture doctor and found Dr. Huang. After reviewing Dr. Huang's website and seeing Dr. Huang was a believer in Christ and didn't just do acupuncture but natural medicine, we were excited. We had always believed in natural medicine and knew it worked.

I started coming to Dr. Huang in 2007 and found out I had fibromyalgia, Epstein Bar and a hormone imbalance. I also realized I had damaged my liver due to all the pain meds. After a few months of treatment with Dr. Huang I was able to start reducing my pain meds. Several months later I was able to sit and walk without much pain. For 16 years, I suffered from fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and chronic muscle, joint and nerve pain. I also had severe migraines. 6 months ago, it was discovered that I had spinal problems and the doctor wanted to put a screw between my vertebrae and my nerves would be severed. I had muscle spasms and restricted movement, and I was always extra careful on everything that required movement. I could not exercise.
