My dad suffered depression because of his immune system being very low. I remember being in and out of the hospital because of his symptoms. He was unable to swallow liquids and food. He would get panic attacks and feel like he was unable to breathe. He would always be so tired and sometimes he would pass out. He lost weight do to him not being able to eat. He was scared to be alone so someone had to always be with him at all times. Doctors tests would come out fine. Many times they would just recommend a psychologist because they would say my dad was fine. That's when my dad walked in to see Dr. Huang, he immediately started treating him and my dad started to feel better. Today my dad is back to normal thanks to God first and for Dr. Huang who was always there for my family through that time. I learned a lot from the time my dad was recovering and learned that even though doctors might tell us we are fine, but if our bodies are not feeling well then there is something wrong. I became a firm believer in holistic medicine since then. Dr. Huang also treated my acne, something products did not do for me. I tried so many products and my face was getting dried and scarred. After treatment with Dr. Huang I stayed acne free majority of the time. I get one here and there now but nothing compared to what I use to have. The staff is amazing and the  environment is relaxing!

5 STAR YELP FIRST TO REVIEW FROM V.B., YORBA LINDA, CALIFORNIA I came to Agape Acupuncture (literally in tears) from a bout of insomnia where I would wake up around 2 AM or earlier and not be able to get back to sleep. As a mother of two little ones this was very difficult and was taking a great toll mentally and physically. I was experiencing extreme fatigue and brain fog. I had already been diagnosed previously with adrenal fatigue the prior year and am on a specific detox/nutrition program, but the insomnia is a whole new beast. I'm a firm believer in natural medicine, herbs, and food as medicine but it takes a skilled healer(s)  to apply these with good results. Plus everyone's body is unique.

Dr. Huang ran a simple diagnostic and was not surprised by the symptoms I was having based on the test results. Various organ systems were way out of balance. He prescribed a treatment plan and was quite confident that it could be of great help but would take time.

I am three months into my treatment plan with acupuncture and can say my sleep has improved 80% and keeps on improving. Ironically, I often fall asleep during a treatment as they are so relaxing! The rooms are very clean and calming.  I still hit a few bumps in the road, but those days are becoming fewer so that tells me healing is occurring. Adrenal fatigue doesn't happen overnight, so I don't expect overnight healing. 

You can tell Dr. Huang cares a great deal for his patients as does his staff.  I believe Dr. Huang and Agape Acupuncture were an answer to prayer in my healing journey. He is Christian and gives God the glory for healing. He uses the wisdom of Eastern Medicine to treat the whole body.

I will definitely be recommending Agape Acupuncture to friends and family.

On a side note, the office is filled with patient testimonials of healing with a wide range of ailments/diseases and all different ages.

For 25 years (from 1980 to 2005), I suffered from migraine headaches which were tied into my menstrual cycles. I suffered to the point of being non-functional. I missed work and social events and couldn’t plan any family events. I would be in darkness. I had excruciating pain and nausea, and I would throw up.

I went through all treatments and tried all medicines and nothing worked. I tried every migraine pill and medication on the market including Imitrex, Zonegran (an epileptic seizure medication) and Relpax. I was groggy from the medications and the drugs also gave me nausea. I saw a headache specialist and worked with him for about a year. Nothing every helped. All modern medicine offered me in terms of treatment was chemical drugs and there were no results. I was hopeless and thought that this is what my life is going to be.

On February 4, 2005, I came to the Natural Medicine Center. I never knew about natural medicine but was encouraged to come by my mailman Jay, who is a patient. I never heard about natural medicine so I didn’t know what to expect. I received acupuncture, herbal medicine, herbal tablets, knowledge, information, and encouragement. This combination of treatment all makes sense.

The results are great! Within a month, the migraines are gone and I have improved 100%. I have my life back and I feel free. I am not a slave to my headaches anymore and I can do and plan things that were limited before. My energy is up and my outlook on life is better. The staff is very caring, honest and encouraging. They are knowledgeable and explained every step and informed me.

I think that natural medicine is the way to go. My friends and family are amazed and shocked that I have no more headaches, and I have referred them to the Natural Medicine Center. Also, I brought my grandson Jonathan here for treatment. After 1 month, he is off all drug medications and he has no more asthma attacks. I think it is important to learn and understand more about natural medicine and to try it because it works.

“I’ve come to Natural Medicine Center (NMC) over the years for my wife when she’s gone through a few different medical issues (mainly endometriosis, hypothyroidism) and when my cholesterol levels were crazy (over 400), I came in. Dr. Kevin was very sympathetic and prescribed a plan of action for me. I had acupuncture and started drinking an herbal tea that his staff puts together for me (they give me packets of raw herbs and I soak it and boil it at home). My cholesterol has come down to normal levels now (basically cut in half), WITHOUT ANY DRUGS, WITHOUT ANY SIDE EFFECTS.

My primary care physician was amazed. I recommend Dr. Kevin and the Natural Medicine Center without reservation. This place is as good as it gets!

The treatments are basically painless and the wait usually is not long, if you have an appointment.

For two months, I was in very severe pain in my right butt area. I was in tears most of the time.  I went to my primary doctor, who gave me two strong shots, which didn't work. I developed Eczema on my arms when I was 18 years old. Then it started to spread when I was 21. I had red spots all over my neck and they were itchy and scaly. My skin felt hot and had scabs and I felt very uncomfortable. When I exercised, my skin would become irritated. In school it was hard for me to concentrate and socially I was always self-conscious. In the summer time I was limited to what I could wear, and I always wanted to cover my arms and neck. It was hard being a girl and wanting my skin to look pretty.

I used steroid creams and other creams purchased online and steroid pills prescribed by the Dermatologist from 2008 – 2010. The treatments helped for a little while and then it came back. I did research online and knew that acupuncture was credible. I read some of the testimonials. I hoped to have my skin condition get better and to be able to concentrate in school. I started coming to Natural Medicine Center on October 9, 2010. My husband was supportive. The treatments I received were acupuncture, herbs and creams.

By the second week of acupuncture, I was feeling better. By the second month, my skin was 80% better. It is less red, less itchy and my skin is smoother. I have been sleeping better at night and have increased energy. I am able to concentrate in school and feel more confident socially. I feel healthier in general. I feel very happy about my results. I was hoping but somewhat skeptical because in the past I tried many other treatments that didn’t work for me. My family and friends are very happy for me.

Everyone at the clinic is nice and very friendly. The staff remembers my name and they are welcoming. They care. The medical staff is very attentive. They assessed my symptoms thoroughly and are positive. I will tell others of my experience and help them realize the benefits of natural medicine. I have referred a friend already. I have always believed in acupuncture. I feel natural medicine helps more than modern medicine for chronic diseases. Natural medicine is safer and targets the root cause. It does not cover the symptoms.

I first started treating with Dr. Huang due to multiple injuries including back, shoulders, carpal tunnel, ulner nerve injuries, Epstein-Barr and fibromyalgia. I was in extreme pain, could barely walk and was unable to work for a couple of years. No western medicine dr had helped including surgery. The only thing the doctors did was prescribe pain meds, nerve meds, anti-inflammatories and sleeping pills and wanted to do more surgery. I had heard about acupuncture and was a firm believer in natural medicine. My husband researched and found Dr. Huang and to my amazement was completely surprised with the results. Dr. Huang is a wonderful Christian and has truly been anointed by God. After approximately three months of treatment I had more energy and was able to reduce my pain meds and eventually completely stopped taking all medicine and started being able to live a normal life and return to work. My husband and I have referred many people to Dr. Huang whom he has also helped. I thank God for sending me to Dr. Huang and for the blessings that he has given to me, All the staff at Natural Medicine Center are wonderful, kind, caring people. If I could afford to go the 3 times a week, I’d be completely healed but I can only go once maybe twice a week. 5 Star Review by V.B., Yorba Linda, California:  I came to Agape Acupuncture (literally in tears) from a bout of insomnia where I would wake up around 2 AM or earlier and not be able to get back to sleep. As a mother of two little ones this was very difficult and was taking a great toll mentally and physically. I was experiencing extreme fatigue and brain fog. I had already been diagnosed previously with adrenal fatigue the prior year and am on a specific detox/nutrition program, but the insomnia is a whole new beast. I’m a firm believer in natural medicine, herbs, and food as medicine but it takes a skilled healer(s)  to apply these with good results. Plus everyone’s body is unique.

Dr. Huang ran a simple diagnostic and was not surprised by the symptoms I was having based on the test results. Various organ systems were way out of balance. He prescribed a treatment plan and was quite confident that it could be of great help but would take time.

I am three months into my treatment plan with acupuncture and can say my sleep has improved 80% and keeps on improving. Ironically, I often fall asleep during a treatment as they are so relaxing! The rooms are very clean and calming.  I still hit a few bumps in the road, but those days are becoming fewer so that tells me healing is occurring. Adrenal fatigue doesn’t happen overnight, so I don’t expect overnight healing.

You can tell Dr. Huang cares a great deal for his patients as does his staff.  I believe Dr. Huang and Agape Acupuncture were an answer to prayer in my healing journey. He is Christian and gives God the glory for healing. He uses the wisdom of Eastern Medicine to treat the whole body.
I will definitely be recommending Agape Acupuncture to friends and family.

On a side note, the office is filled with patient testimonials of healing with a wide range of ailments/diseases and all different ages.

5 Star Review by Nina E., Orange, California: My first session yesterday, and the pain in my arm has almost disappeared, Im going back today since he wants to see me 3 times this week, I can actually put on my bra now, I couldn’t do that before. I had to put it on like a t-shirt or twist it around like a pre-teenage girl to the front! Thank God for this Man, very gentle very assuring, thinks he can cure me from diabetes, thyroid, and back pain, I’m willing to give him a chance, price but my health is not negotiable! and since I have been paying the Chiro for so long, what a waste of money that turned out to be!! Only thing is… every time I get acupuncture, I also get my period, does this happen to anyone else? I was not due for another 2 weeks!! This would be the only negative!!

5 Star Review by Debbie K., Tustin, California: I cannot say enough of good things about this center.   The staff is corteous and the place is clean.  Dr. Kevin has helped me a lot in the last 10 years.  I have had health problems where I went to Western medical doctor and he or she could only just do so much.  Then, I go to this center and Dr. Kevin helped me further with pain, injury, and internal system problems.

About 10 years ago, I had a tennis elbow.  A simple problem, right?  Nah!  I went to a Western medical doctor and was given pain killers and muscle relaxers.  It only temporarily relieved the pain but the problem got worse that I could not sleep at night.  I went to a physical therapy and was given a warm ultra sound and massage.  After months, the problem didn’t go away and I was more sleep deprived.  It became so bad that I could not open a water bottle.  I decided to bite the bullet and spent a lot of money (since Western Medical insurance won’t pay) and after 20 acu treatments this problem disappeared until today.

Then, I had a problem with digestion and had so much stomach acids produced inside.  A western doctor did a test and told me about this.  He gave me drugs to reduce the production of acid.  Only when I took the drug that it worked.  If I stopped the drug, the problem came back.  I don’t want to take drug every day because it is bad for my kidney and liver.  So I asked Dr. Kevin for herb and acupuncture treatment.  I had about 12 weeks of treatment and the problem disappeared. I don’t have to take the drugs again.

Now, moving forward to June 2012, I had a major knee injury.  I broke my knee cap into 2.  I had a major surgery where an orthopedic surgeon put it together with 4 screws.  I had about 6 months of physical therapy.  The pt helped a lot but I still have a lot of pain 6 months after the surgery.  When the weather got cold I suffer.  When I walked too far, my knee was in pain and stiff.  I was not able to walk like a normal people and was afraid that people will run me over when I am in the crowd because I walked to slow.  I walked with a cane.  Orthopedic released me from his care of treatment but my knee was still not recovered completely.  Maybe he thought that eventually it would recover.   My knee was still swollen big from the scar tissues of the injury.   I decided to take my own health problem into my own hands and again bite the bullet to spend a lot of money to have acupuncture treatments and herbs.  After about 10 acu treatments, I didn’t have to walk with a cane anymore.   The pain was gone.  The swelling and bumps on my knee reduced.    I walk normal now and not afraid to face the crowd.  Although I still have some left over scar tissues and still need to have more treatments and still in treatments.  It was a major injury after all.   But week by week, my knee improved.  My knee may not go back to normal ever again but I don’t have any pain.

The herbs work if they are taken regularly.  It is not like western drugs that you take pills and the pain is gone (but it will come back again).  The herbs helped for our own body to heal naturally from the inside.  I take herbs for my knee and I believe that the herbs that I took regularly for 3 months helped me to break down the scar tissues around my knee so the pain and swelling eventually are gone.  The effect was not immediate but it was over time. The process of healing is slow with acupuncture and herbs but I learned that the healing stayed more permanently than using drugs. There are other female internal system problems that Dr. Kevin helped me but I don’t feel comfortable discussing the details.

I was already vegan before I walked into this clinic.  It was a coincidence that he recommends a vegan diet for his patients while in treatments.  I like this place more because of it.  He only recommends the vegan diet while patients are in treatment so it is not so bad.  He did recommend ‘no coffee’ for me.  I reduced drinking a lot of coffee anddo feel better.  Although I love coffee but I tried to listen to him.  Coffeecan be bad, too, I guess.  We are what we eat and if we want to be healthy I guess we need to put the healthy stuff inside.
