I suffered from fibromyalgia for over 7 years, and I was diagnosed with heel spurs 3½ years ago. It started on my heels and then it went to my hip. This condition affected every aspect of my life. It made me tired and made it difficult to care for a child and keep up the household. The pain and fatigue affected my work and socializing with friends and family. The pain was too much and I could not walk. I was tired all the time.

I went to the medical doctors and they did nerve testing and x-rays. They found large heel spurs on my left and right foot. They gave me cortisone shots which ultimately did not help me and I was in pain and had difficulty walking. There were no results from the cortisone shots.

On June 23, 2006, I came to the Agape Acupuncture, Inc. with the encouragement of my sister. I was interested in learning about natural medicine, but I have never tried it. I wanted to be alleviated of the constant pain and I hoped to be able to walk normally again without pain. I began receiving acupuncture treatments and taking herbal medicine.

The treatment results are fantastic. I wish I had known about it years ago. I began feeling better 6 weeks into the treatments. I have no more hip pain and I am able to walk without pain and stand up straight. I have increased energy and I am able to be like others and be normal again.

When I fist came to Agape Acupuncture, Inc. I had been battling with extreme pain due to being diagnosed with bulging discs in my back, shoulder injuries, ulnar nerve problems to my elbows and carpal tunnel.  I had surgery on my right shoulder with not much success I was told I needed surgery to my left shoulder, carpal tunnel surgery to both wrists and possible back surgery. I was having extreme pain where I was taking medication for pain, nerve pain pills, sleeping pills, anti-inflammatory meds, etc. I had difficulty walking, due to sciatic nerve pain which radiated down to my calf.  I walked with a limp with my left foot turned out. The only way I was somewhat comfortable walking was with Z-coil shoes, which were shoes that had a spring in them that helped to absorb the impact. I could not sit for very long.  I could not let anyone touch me as it was extremely painful. I had such extreme fatigue I could not get out of bed for very long without being exhausted again. I was not able to work for 5 years I wasn't able to live a normal life. I went through treatment with western medicine doctors with very little to no relief.

I was at my wits end and looking for other options for treatment, not wanting to go through another surgery.  I had heard about acupuncture and people having good success. My husband researched to find an acupuncture doctor and found Dr. Huang. After reviewing Dr. Huang's website and seeing Dr. Huang was a believer in Christ and didn't just do acupuncture but natural medicine, we were excited. We had always believed in natural medicine and knew it worked.  

I started coming to Dr. Huang in 2007 and found out I had fibromyalgia, Epstein Bar and a hormone imbalance. I also realized I had damaged my liver due to all the pain meds. After a few months of treatment with Dr. Huang I was able to start reducing my pain meds. Several months later I was able to sit and walk without much pain.  I advised my orthopedic doctor what I was doing and he referred me to a pain management doctor for help in getting off the pain meds. I am a strong believer in Jesus Christ and knew with God's help I could get off the pain meds.  Praise God He helped me to do just that!  

It has been an up hill battle at times to maintain my energy and eliminate my pain and return to a normal life, however after much prayer and Dr. Huang's anointing from God and wisdom in natural medicine and acupuncture I am now living a full life. I am working full time and now have my energy back. I praise God for leading me and my husband to Dr. Huang. It is such a blessing to come to the office for treatment and be able to share with Dr. Huang all that God is doing in my life with healing and blessing me with business. I tell everyone about Dr. Huang and have referred several friends and family members who have and continue to benefit from Dr. Huang's treatment. I believe God intended for our bodies to be treated with the things from this earth not chemicals that mask the problem and harm our bodies.

I suffered from Celiac Disease for 10 years. As a result, I experienced intestinal pain, bloating and bad reaction to foods. I also suffered with Fibromyalgia for 2 years, and I had chronic pain and extreme fatigue. My initial reaction to the diagnosis of Fibromyalgia and Celiac Disease was – I just was going to have to live with it. Normal tasks were harder. I didn’t go out very much because of the fatigue. My body would react badly to foods so I couldn’t go out to dinner or other social functions. I had gone to many doctors for Celiac Disease and Fibromyalgia. I had a biopsy and blood work and changed my diet to gluten free. I also took drug medications for my condition. All of this was limited relief from modern medicine. Approximately 5 years ago – I stopped pretty much as soon as I started. I never stayed with any of the drug program. I knew there was no cure, and the drugs with side effects were not appealing to me. I wanted to find a natural method so I was surfing the web and found the Natural Medicine Center. I was hopeful but not a firm believer.

I came to Natural Medicine Center on January 7, 2011. My expectations were pretty low and I was skeptical. I did not have much hope, but my friends and family were supportive. I received treatments of herbs and acupuncture. My treatments were simple and not complicated. Within 24 hours my intestinal tract was quiet. Within a few days, my pain was gone. It was like it flipped a switch. In every way at some level, it has normalized my life. I didn’t expect these results! My health issues were on a conscious level – they affected me daily and it’s not like that now. I have increased energy and quality of life! I got the result that I could only hope for. My friends and family are totally happy that things have turned around. I’ve referred many of my co-workers. I suffered from Fibromyalgia with body pains. I had weakness, fatigue, tiredness, headaches and trouble reading due to my eyesight. I couldn’t work and my social life was non existent. I had to quit school. I was lying in bed and wasn’t able to do anything for about a year.

For my condition, I saw a neurologist, dermatologist and physical therapist. I was prescribed anti-depressants for fatigue, and I underwent physical therapy treatments for about 2 months. The medical doctors prescribed medications such as Migrin A, Tramadol, Diclofenac, and Effexor. I took drugs and was still not able to do anything. I was frustrated and needed help for my condition.

On July 14, 2006, I came to the Natural Medicine Center and began treatments. The combination of the acupuncture and herbal medicine really helped my condition. Two weeks into the treatments, the headaches were gone. One month into the treatments, the pain was much less and I was able to take less medications. The acupuncture helped with the pain and the herbal medicine helped the fatigue. I was actually able to go out and socialize with my friends. My energy level is great and I can be around my loved ones.

I am excited about the results and that I get to go back to school. My family is excited as well and has been very supportive. I was homebound and now I am now able to go back to college through natural medicine. The staff is friendly and helpful and the clinic is warm and nice. The doctor is good at what he does, and the hope that is given really helps. I would refer others and share my story to let others know about the benefits of natural medicine. 4-5 years ago, I was diagnosed with the Epstein Barr Virus (EBV) and Lupus and I suffered the whole time. In 2000, I had a vaginal hysterectomy and a platelet issue and almost died. In 2004, I came down with a kidney infection and almost died and went home with a PICC (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter) line inserted through a vein in the arm for 2 weeks. I suffered from chronic fatigue, severe heart pain, bone pain with severe inflammation, severe lower back pain, and weight gain. I couldn't do anything and I lived on the couch. It was horrible and I thought that I was dying. I also had mononucleosis at the same time. I couldn't use my muscles to walk or move. I had so much swelling. Everything slowed down.

I sought the help of a cardiologist, bone doctor and went to a fibromyalgia clinic and also to UCLA. I took every drug known to man including Provastatin, Prilosec, Amiloride, Hydrochlorothiazide, Hectorol, and I had IV treatments. They gave me diabetes medication and had me drinking calcium. They were horrible. I had the shakes and low blood pressure. I had migraines, I couldn't see, and I was getting weaker plus having bone pain. As a result of all this, I ended up on Nitroglycerin tabs. I thought I was having complications from all the medications while getting worse. I was told there was no cure for me, but only manage me.

On March 10, 2011, I came to see Dr. Kevin Huang at Agape Acupuncture and go the natural alternative way so that I could at least function. I made this decision the day I went to UCLA and a liver specialist said "You have a fatty liver". I wanted relief for my autoimmune condition Lupus and my husband was a bit skeptical that no one could help me, but my friends and family were supportive. When I came here, the clinic was very peaceful. I felt there is a mission here - God's mission. I was treated with acupuncture and herbs and I love it. It's gentle. It treats the whole body, not just the symptoms. The herbs helped what was weak - my liver, kidneys and heart.

I am absolutely ecstatic about the results. There is no doubt in my mind that I am a walking testimony. I'm off the couch and exercising 60 minutes a day. I started feeling better when the swelling started going away. It's been awesome. I'm back to gardening, knitting, playing the piano, exercising, cooking, traveling and visiting my grandkids.
