“I never imagined that a routine injection of medication from another doctor would lead to such a challenging health issue at the age of 73. After receiving the shot, I experienced a negative side-effect: shingles. About 10 years ago, an injury to my back brought on peripheral neuropathy. There was damage to the nerve (L5-S1) and lab tests confirmed these findings. I have always been very athletic and this numbness in my feet was very debilitating. From 2002-2009, I sought various therapies in Atlanta and California.
