I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism - Grave's Disease around 2 years ago. Initially, I feared that my illness would negatively change the quality of the rest of my life. I had the choice to get iodine treatment to kill my thyroid, get surgery, or take medication for a year or so and wait for improvement For the last option, there was always the chance that my illness could return, but with any of the options, I would most probably have to be on medication for the rest of my life. My initial choice was to get iodine treatment, but my parents' suggested we give the drug medications a chance before permanently removing my thyroid.

The illness caused heart palpitations and trembling in my muscles. I also felt hot even in cold environments and I lost a lot of weight and had shortness of breath. Along with these symptoms, I sometimes felt anxiety and was extremely fatigued most of the time. These symptoms definitely made it difficult to do many activities, especially since I was tired most of the time. My grades and my social life suffered because tasks took me longer to complete and I couldn't perform to the best of my ability. My illness also kept me from being active in sports because of heart palpitations and also limited my ability to play piano and sing because my hands and voice would tremble badly.

As prescribed by modern medicine, I took methimazole in varying dosages depending on my blood test results, and Atenolol for a short time to normalize my heartbeat. The possible side effects were itching, liver problems and decreased white blood cell count right before I decided to come to the Natural Medicine Center, the symptoms of my hyperthyroidism had been getting worse and we had come to the conclusion that the drug medications were no longer working. My mom had always suggested that we check out the Natural Medicine Center, but at first I was skeptical. However, since my condition only seemed to be getting worse, I decided to finally check out the Center with my Mom as a last resort before finally getting iodine treatment. I was still a little bit skeptical so I came in not really expecting much, but I did hope that the treatments would offer more definite healing than the treatments modern medicine offered.

My first impression of the clinic was that it was definitely a place where God was working, I remember sitting on the couch on the first day waiting to be called inside and just being in awe at all the testimonials of how God had healed so many people at the clinic. A part of me felt like it was too good to be true, but my God is a great healer and while talking to Doctor Huang my Mom and I just choked back tears because the treatment he offered promised true and holistic healing something that modern medicine never offered. When Doctor Huang said that we can only do so much on earth, but leave the rest to God as the true physician, I knew that this place was a place where God was being glorified in healing and I was certain that! I wanted to go ahead with the natural treatments.

I received acupuncture and herbal medicine as well as dietary guidelines. Since I was still attending college at UCLA, I got acupuncture every other week and weekly when I could. The acupuncture was mostly painless and the herbs were easy to take. After about 2 weeks, I began to feel less fatigued and have more energy. My anxiety and nausea also started to subside and I was able to perform at school and function at a higher level. The recovery has definitely allowed me to work harder at my school work and spend more time with my friends as I regained my energy and health. The treatments have drastically improved the quality of my life and shown me new ways that God can work. After four months, which is the end of my treatments at the Natural Medicine Center, my blood test levels are all in the normal range and I was able to get off my drug medications! Was able to experience true healing without having to permanently remove my thyroid or take medications for the rest of my life! My faith and the faith of my family have significantly grown from coming to this clinic and witnessing God's healing power here firsthand.

The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Their smiling faces and their work in making each treatment as comfortable as possible truly made the experience a pleasant one. Sherry and Dr. Huang were very knowledgeable and kind. They always made sure to answer any questions we had and it was obvious that they cared not only about my medical condition, but genuinely cared for me and my Mom. They genuinely hoped for my complete healing and showed true compassion on us and all the other patients. I was especially encouraged every time Dr. Huang would pray for me before treatments and acknowledge God's sovereignty.

I am overjoyed and extremely grateful to God for the results. For at least 45 years I have had Migraines and headaches but I was not diagnosed until my early thirties. I was glad it wasn’t something worst. My Neurologist said it’s possible to have a Migraine gene. I have been on Migraine medicine for years and I go to work with them. Sometimes I would have to call out ill and go straight to bed. I could not really function – they limited me from my daily activities. I was frustrated and discouraged after all the years and treatments from other doctors and I still had migraines. I had Chiropractor for a month and it did not really help me. I also got massages. It did not take the Migraines away, but it would relax me. My Neurologist just gave me more medications. I was taking Imitrix 50 mg - the side effects were shortness of breath and chest tightness. I have been treated with medications ongoing for 45 years. I still take Imitrix on occasion as needed, but the side effects of dizziness and nausea cautioned me to take it only when necessary.

I came to Natural Medicine Center on November 26, 2011. My husband encouraged me but I was apprehensive. I hoped to lessen my Migraines and feel better because I was always tired. I have used acupuncture before so I felt very comfortable when I came in. I received acupuncture and herbs. The acupuncture does not hurt; it’s very relaxing.  If I had a Migraine when I came in it would go away. Within 1-3 months, there was incredible improvement. In 2004, I begin to have numbness and pain in my joints, which affected every part of my life. It was hard for me to take care of my baby and do all the things a mother needed to do; change his diaper, bathe him, and even to carry him was painful. I believed in natural medicine and though my friends and family were supportive, I was not sure just how much I would improve.

At 5 I was diagnosed with Asthma and have dealt with it ever since. My seasonal allergies triggered asthma attacks. At the young age of 5, I wasn’t completely aware but my parents were upset, but they still placed their faith in God – my ultimate Healer. I have been hospitalized and had many sinus infections and constant seasonal struggle with allergies. Breathing was difficult; affecting exercise and playing as a child - with allergies, runny nose, stuffy nose, itchy eyes, sinus infections and scratchy throat. My allergies limited my time I spent outside. I couldn’t go camping with friends and I had to monitor my exercise. I saw many Physicians from 1998 to present; tried holistic medicine and Chiropractic care. I took a lot of drugs with their unwanted side effects. I took Allegra-D, Flonase, Prednisone, Advair, Symbicort, Pro-air and rescue inhalers. The Prednisone caused weight gain and the Pro-air caused shaking hands. I began taking these medications in 1998 and they only give me temporary relief of symptoms. I saw some benefits but not totally and was completely unsatisfied.

I searched for alternative medicine on the internet and found Natural Medicine Center. I believed in natural medicine and hoped to find relief that wasn’t temporary from my symptoms. I started treatments on May 1, 2012. My family and friends were very supportive. My family has always wanted to see me walk in total healing. My first impression of the clinic is that it’s neat, clean, professional, serene, peaceful and friendly staff. I received acupuncture, herbal medicine with nutrition and dietary guidelines. The acupuncture sessions were pain free and went smoothly thanks to the great staff! I started feeling better around the end of the third week. Our son Sawyer had a very healthy first year of life. After turning one year old he started having all sorts of recurrent colds and sinus trouble. This led into long bouts of coughing with labored breathing which was very very scary and exhausting for him. We tried all sorts of sinus medications, breathing treatments, and inhalers. While he would improve for a while, it was never more than a month before he started all over again with sickness.

While our pediatrician suggested that we keep him on allergy medicine and inhalers indefinitely, with the hope he would grow out of it, we knew that this was not God’s best for Sawyer. We took him to Dr. Huang in faith. The results of the exam were shocking. Sawyers immune system was as low as it could get and his lungs and other systems were not functioning well at all. We immediately started 12 weeks of acupuncture and supplements. While sitting, Sawyer would receive treatments in his back and watch his DVD player. He was easy going and didn't even know he was being treated most of the time! He gobbled up his supplements on a spoon of peanut butter without fuss everyday.

After the first week of treatments, Sawyer no longer needed his allergy medicine. In fact, he has not had a dose since we started. His constant runny nose disappeared and slowly his lungs healed and cough went away. At the 6 week mark it was clear all was going well and his immune system was much stronger. Throughout treatment he fought two colds and instead of weeks of recovery, it was only a few days! Sawyer is so much happier than before. He is growing faster, talking more, and definitely laughing more - as a little 2 year old boy should!

10 years ago I was diagnosed with allergies and 4 years ago I was diagnosed with liver and kidney conditions. When I found out, I was both mad and sad. The illness limited me a lot and affected my work, home and social life. There were many places I wanted to go but could not. I had heartburn and a bloated stomach. The MD prescribed medications for me, and I had surgery for my allergies. I was taking Prednisone, Ibuprofen (800mg), Zyrtec, Singulair, Pravastatin Sodium, Proair, Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray, Neilmed Sinus Rinse and antibiotics. I was on these drugs and treatments for 10 years - from 2002 until July 2012. It was a temporary fix and it led to damage of my liver and kidneys.

My cousin recommended me to Natural Medicine Center and I started treatments with acupuncture and herbs on July 14, 2012. I hoped to get away from all the drug medications and get back to a normal life. My friends and family were very supportive. My first impression of the clinic was good. I am a firm believer in natural medicine because the herbs come from nature.

Right now I feel better, happier and healthier - no more sadness. The first month I started to feel a change, so I knew it was working. I have had severe migraines for over 19 years, which started when I was 10 years old. My migraines came frequently and I have suffered so much pain for all those years. Every time I would have my migraine attack my left eye would hurt so bad, unbearably, and I would keep on vomiting for days which would sometimes make me dehydrated. Most doctors of course prescribed the usual medications, saying that there is no cure, only pain management, and most recently I have had to make several trip to urgent care.

Trying to trace the “triggers” of my migraines has been nearly impossible. When I am outside in the hot weather, my migraine comes, when inside the house with cool temperature my migraine comes. In the mall, in the theater, at church attending mass my migraine would come.

I feel as though I have died a thousand times in pain from these migraines. They have been so debilitating, causing me to have to lock myself in a dark and quiet room, and yet still having so much pain and constantly vomiting. I am a naturally active and hard working person and so this illness also causes me to suffer from depression as it restricts most aspects of my activities.

A few months ago a friend of mine suggested that I try acupuncture as it is able to treat many illnesses. Although we were somewhat skeptical my husband and I began a search to find an acupuncturist that we were comfortable with when we came across Dr. Huang’s Natural Medicine website in July of 2012, and were impressed, and made an appointment right away.

When I first started seeing Dr. Huang he advised me to change some of my habits, such as diet, which I have done, also put me on herbal medications and of course began my acupuncture. Thank God we were lead to seek natural healing. Not only have my migraines been nearly eliminated, my overall general health, as well as my sleeping habits and general mood have all improved dramatically. It is such a blessing to finally lead a normal life and now we will continue on with making wise decisions regarding my health and look forward to improving even further.

Pain!!!! Awwwwww!!!! I wanted to blow out my brains from the pain!!!!! I came to the Natural Medicine Center with a note that read “Please help me, I am in agony!!!!” Since I did not have an appointment, I thought that would get some action and it did. Dr. Huang helped me with the pain and with the cream. After two weeks, the Shingles dried up. The pain from the nerve damage still remained though and was agonizing. I could not exercise nor do anything with that leg. It was my left leg that was hit by Shingles. Gradually, the pain began to subside and I could walk again with a cane. Then. I could really walk without a cane and now, I am just trying to exercise every day and need to get back to the gym. I went back to Yoga but not the gym yet. It took about six weeks to get rid of all the problems from the Shingles.

My 17-year-old daughter is an accomplished athlete who competes at a high level. At 16 she started having some health issues. Her blood tests showed that she had hyperthyroidism. Doctors wanted to put her on medication that would ultimately force her to be on medication for the rest of her life. We knew she was too young and otherwise healthy to do that, so we took her to a natural doctor who put her on vitamins to help her health improve.

About a year later, she lost a small patch of hair and we went back to the natural doctor to see what might have caused that. He took blood tests again and her thyroid was still hyper. Also her iron was low and he said she was anemic. She was often tired, but we thought it was from all the volleyball training. So she started taking iron to see if that would improve things. Strangely, her cholesterol was also high (over 200) even though she was practically a vegetarian. And her tonsils were always swollen.

After a few weeks on the iron, she came home from a volleyball tournament with swollen ankles. She thought she had double sprained ankles. Within a couple days, a dark red rash showed up on her ankles and spread up her legs to her knees. We took her to a dermatologist and he said it looked like an autoimmune response. At that point, she was also feeling really weak and she could barely walk with her swollen ankles. My husband researched her symptoms and we realized there was no known Western cure for what she was experiencing. There was only thyroid medication and steroids to reduce the symptoms, but nothing to actually heal her. So we looked up non-Western approaches to treating an autoimmune disorder, and we found Dr. Huang.

We went in scared and confused, watching our strong, healthy daughter in such a weak state. Dr. Huang seemed so confident that he could help her. He believed she had a virus (probably Epstein Bar) and her body had been fighting it since she first started not feeling well a year before. That was why her tonsils were always swollen. The virus finally took over and the autoimmune response was her immune system over-fighting until it actually attacked her own body.

In the beginning of treatment, her hands also started to swell and the rash looked like it was tying to come through on her arms, but acupuncture seemed to keep it from breaking out the way her legs did. She remained really weak the first couple weeks, but acupuncture did stabilize her. Every time we went in, we had so many questions for Dr. Huang, and he was always so patient and kind in answering us. He even took phone calls (so many calls!), and always understood our concerns.

Just over a month of acupuncture, taking herbs and eating the foods Dr. Huang suggested, her rash was fading and her ankles were normal. She took blood tests and her thyroid level was normal for the first time in a year! No medications were necessary. Her iron was also normal even after stopping iron supplements-just changes in diet and getting her system healthy with acupuncture and herbs. Her low white blood cell count showed that she was still fighting the virus, which was also apparent as her energy was still low, and so we continued treatment. She slowly got back into working out with volleyball, but had to take it easy. In two and a half months, she would be leaving to the university where she would play volleyball. I was afraid she would need more time to heal after all her body had been going through, but Dr. Huang believed he could get her healthy by then.

Her next blood test was another month later, and at that point her cholesterol was down to
147. It went down over 50 points even after Dr. Huang had her add organic beef to her diet to help her iron. I asked him how it could be over 200 when she was practically a vegetarian and yet drop so much when she started eating beef. Dr. Huang explained that acupuncture and herbs were helping her liver function properly, which is a greater factor in cholesterol than just diet. The fact that my daughter was feeling better told me acupuncture was working, but seeing the blood tests was proof that it was really healing her inside. The patch of hair she had lost also started growing back, and her tonsils were getting smaller than they'd been in a year.

She had a couple set backs along the way, but Dr. Huang was always there to help her through. She continued getting stronger and after almost four months of seeing Dr. Huang, she was well-just in time to go off to USC where she is playing volleyball. She is fully back to playing and feels as strong as she was before she got sick.

Watching my daughter go through this brought on stress like I'd never felt before. I couldn't eat. I lost 10 pounds and ended up getting an ulcer. My digestive system was a mess and that led to hemorrhoids that wouldn't heal. I knew that if Dr. Huang could heal what my daughter had just gone through, he could heal me. And he did with acupuncture and herbs, I also got better.

Dr. Huang is a wonderful healer, and he is also a genuinely good man. He always keeps such a positive, encouraging attitude. He is unlike any doctor I've been to before, and I think it's because he finds such joy in what he does. He loves to heal people and he truly honors God with his good work. Also, the staff at the office is always so friendly and kind, and they are just as pleasant and helpful on the phone. It's a pleasure to see them each time we go in. We are grateful to have found all the good people at Agape Acupuncture, and we feel so blessed that we were led to this special doctor who healed our daughter.

In August 2010, I was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and it spread to my liver. In September 2010 I had surgery to remove the tumor. My eyes were yellow. I felt like I was hit by a train at 200 mph and this illness changed my life completely. It affected my state of mind knowing that the outcome for 95% of the people with this same disease die within the first year. I was a very active person with interests for doing different things. It was like someone came and extinguished my light for life. I no longer had an interest to keep going forward. In October 2010 I had Whipple surgery (also known as pancreaticoduodenectomy - this procedure involves removal of the head of the pancreas next to the first part of the small intestine. It also involves removal of the duodenum, a portion of the common bile duct, gallbladder, and a portion of the stomach. Surgeons then reconnect the remaining intestine, bile duct, and pancreas.) From April 2011 – August 2012 I was put on chemotherapy. The side effects from Chemotherapy were numbness in my feet, nausea, and sores in my mouth. It was really bad and painful. The Chemotherapy was supposed to wipe out the tumor but it grew.

Two years ago, I came to see Dr. Kevin Huang. But I was skeptical and didn’t trust natural medicine, so I decided to do the Whipple surgery and Chemotherapy instead. The drugs and surgeries failed and my cancer went from Stage 1 to Stage 3 and it spread to the liver. From May 2012 to August 2012, CT Scan report and scientific instruments showed that the tumor grew, and it was now attached to the artery. The tumor was life-threatening and inoperable. On August 23, 2012, I decided to come back to Dr. Huang and start acupuncture treatments and herbs. I came because I knew someone with a tumor in her pancreas and she had received acupuncture and her tumor shrank 17 ml. I stopped Chemotherapy completely and was on natural medicine only from August 2012 to October 2012. During the treatments, Dr. Huang was very supportive through his knowledge and so was the medical staff at Agape Acupuncture, Inc. However, I remained skeptical and negative about recovery because this disease is very silent. I thought for sure I was getting worse and going to die. Dr. Huang told me to base things on fact and not on feeling and to wait for the next CT Scan and lab tests.

On October 30, 2012, my new CT Scan report and scientific instruments confirmed that my tumor shrank nearly 50% one dimension one side. It went from 37mm to 20mm from August 15, 2012 to October 12, 2012. The UCI Oncologist Chief Surgeon confirmed that the tumor shrank and it separated from the artery. Now there is an option for surgery and there are no new lesions. Seeing the results on paper that my tumor had shrank brought me comfort and my state of mind was renewed somewhat. My tumor is not completely gone but I feel I am on the right path. The fact that my tumor has shrunk has been the best news since my diagnosis.

I wasn’t a firm believer in natural medicine before coming here and I wasn’t sure that acupuncture would help. I see light at the end of the tunnel. Natural medicine helped reduce my tumor. The evidence is the proof. I have more energy and I lost weight. My friends and loved ones are happy for me, and I have already referred someone to Agape Acupuncture. I didn’t expect these results but I cannot deny what natural medicine can do. It has been around for over 2,000 years. You have to come here with faith and give it a try. Approximately 1 month ago I was diagnosed with Anxiety and Depression from not getting enough sleep and from work and the care of my child. I went to Natural Medicine Center a few years ago due to low hormone. Prior to visiting Dr. Huang, my OBGY doctor always prescribed me the hormone replacement medicine or external hormone cream to use.  His opinion is that they will have more benefit for me instead of harming my body.  Actually I never go to fill out  any of the prescriptions.  All my surrounding friends or relatives do not use either of them. Of course I am skeptical about breast cancer side effect. I was at the stage of causing myself bleeding if I did not do anything for myself.
 
With the warning of bleeding, one day God made me to read the ad at Huntington Beach local newspaper. I made first visit and talked with Dr. Huang. Then I started treatment with acupuncture, herb and food limitation. It did help me stop feeling discomfort.  Within the last few years I had other treatments to maintain my old body.  Our body is exactly like a car, or plant or flower. We need adjust or give nutrient to get rid of bad cells to replenish with new cells.
 
My second testimony is my high blood pressure.  I used to be at the borderline of taking modern medicine to control it. I have been became normal pressure for many years.  After my blood pressure became normal, I told so many people who are on the drug.  However they don't believe or they still trust the modern medicine.  But I am very happy that I use natural way to help myself.  I am highly recommend that try to use natural way to help yourself if you have the same problem.
 
In the past Dr. Huang also helped me for my back pain and wrist problem. Sometimes you feel that he is a magical doctor who could help people in so many different health issues.  I love to listen to the new testimony or read other testimonies at the outside room or hall way.  They always make me amaze the result of the treatment. They give us hope, life and happiness. I was diagnosed with eczema and migraine headaches at 13 years old. I suffered with this condition for 9 years and felt nervous that it would effect my skin my whole life. The headaches limited me where I could not go to work. The migraine headaches caused extreme nausea, and I was very light and sound sensitive. It caused me to be sick and it was hard to talk with people or focus on anything. The eczema made my skin extremely itchy. I could not wear clothes that I wanted. I had sleeplessness at night from the irritation and it bothered me daily at work.

I went to several Dermatologists for the eczema and the treatments of topical and steroid based ointments typically lasted 3 months. The eczema would go away for only short amounts of time and then come back. The creams always irritated my skin, caused extreme burning and dried out surrounding areas not affected by eczema.

We go to church with Dr. Huang and I began coming to Agape Acupuncture, Inc. in September 2012. I hoped to start a healthier life and that my eczema and headaches would be no longer. My family was very supportive! My friends were slightly weary but quickly saw the results and are no longer skeptics. I did not understand natural medicine and everything it treated. I started acupuncture treatments, herbal medicine, nutrition, food and dietary guidelines. The staff was so friendly, knowledgeable, very warm and welcoming, and always busy – this was a good sign to me!

I started feeling better about 3 weeks into treatments. My home life is healthier – healthier eating and living in general. I have more energy at work and feel I have been a good influence to my friends on living a healthier life. I feel healthy and have an improved quality of life! The dietary guidelines were most difficult in the start, but now it is a regular part of my life. I lost weight and I lost a desire for sugars and caffeine. I didn’t think I would get these results so quickly. I could not be any more pleased from the results! I feel my lifestyle has changed dramatically over the past 3 months. By example, many of my friends and family who were well aware of my conditions have seen the dramatic change. I feel the clinic is like a family - everyone is so supportive and welcoming.

“I went to get a CT scan which came back negative and blood work showed no signs of cancer.”

In May 2012, I was diagnosed with Colon Rectal Cancer. I was depressed and very sad when I found out the diagnosis. I had to stop working and I had weakness and nervousness. My bowel movements were abnormal and I lost more than 30 lbs in three weeks. I also had 3 operations in 3 weeks. I had a colonoscopy in June 2012. A tumor was found and it was cancerous. I had an ultrasound to find out what stage it was; it was Stage I. A second tumor was found behind it; that tumor was Stage III and it was breaking through my lymph nodes. I had one session of chemotherapy in August 2012. I also tried home remedies. I had a rectal operation to remove the cancerous tumor. I had a second operation to remove the second tumor that was going into my lymph nodes. The chemotherapy only made me weaker and more depressed and I couldn’t have radiation or more chemo due to an infection in the incision.

I started coming to Agape Acupuncture, Inc. in July 30, 2012. My wife saw the clinic on the internet and we read some of the testimonies of how it helped other people. WOW! There were a lot of patients; I met the staff and saw that they were polite and caring. I wanted to get stronger and for my cancer to go away. My family and friends were very supportive. I was somewhat of a believer in natural medicine before coming here - you hear all kinds of stuff. I was not 100% sure but I decided to give it a try.

At Agape Acupuncture, Inc. I received acupuncture and herbal teas. I started feeling better in about 3 weeks after starting my treatments here. I had increased energy and my appetite came back. My name is J.J. and I began seeing Dr. Huang in July 2012. I was referred to him from a friend who began helping me with some stubborn health issues I had. For one, I had stage 2-3 bladder cancer, emphasis on HAD because thanks to Dr. Huang’s amazing touch it is now gone from my CT Scan’s. My bladder is also healing from the eight years of scraping the cancer cell’s off the walls of my bladder since 2004, causing my bladder to no longer function correctly leading me to serious incontinence issues. Secondly, I suffered from pitted edema for nearly 60 years of my life. No doctor in the modern medicine world could figure out the cause and no prescription provided any assistance or relief in fact, at times making it worse due to it’s side effects. I never imagined I would see the day that my legs would not be swollen. My right leg is about 95% healed and normal, my left leg is now about 80% healed and both are healing as I continue my treatments. I can actually see my calf muscle flex in both legs! I haven’t seen that since my 20’s and I am now 83 years young! Overall I felt immediate results with Dr. Huang! BEFORE beginning acupuncture treatments, I spent a greater majority of the day on my back in bed. My legs and feet hurt to stand on and looked like balloons. I had a severe bladder infection, needing to change my men’s depend briefs up to 10-12 times a day. Our 4 years old son started having stomach pains. We went to a doctor and was given antibiotics for a week. When the pain did not go away, we did x-ray and ultrasound. The diagnosis was constipation without obstruction. For several weeks, we changed his diet, gave him supplements to help him go. He would go 2-3x a day with good amount but the pain remained. We went to see different doctors and a gastro pediatrician but they have no answers except to put him in Miralax everyday.  

2 months of agony and not knowing if there is something else that we should do. The stomach pain is becoming a part of our everyday life and we don't like it. We prayed and prayed and asked God for direction. We researched online and found Dr. Huang's website. I suffered from a rash on the stomach, which was red in color. There was itching and I was worried about the rash. I used an “over the counter” anti-itch cream to temporary relieve the itch for rash for short term. I wasn’t satisfied with the cream because it didn’t fix the issue in the long term.
